Don't about A/C but my dehumidifier clearly says that the water should be dumped. I would test on some other plant before pondering using on my girls.

I would get a stronger fan venting out of the bathroom vent to get more air exchange. If there is any space under the bathroom door, that will work as passive intake to bring enough air in. Leaving the door open will let odor out.

Ona creates, in my opinion, an obnoxious odor of its own. I love my Phresh filter. I tried to refill an old filter once. Maybe I got ripped off on the carbon I bought but it didn't work for crap.

Accd to Wikipedia, inhalation of dichloromethane is carcinogenic. So I think it fits in with all the other stuff used that we would prefer not to. Everclear will work, you are just dealing with more water. If one searches far and wide, 100% Ethanol can be purchased.
