    Cooler cloner.

Just thought I would show my cloner I made from a cooler. I really like it because it doesn't leak cause the lid seals tight, is light proof, doesn't buldge out when full of water and already has a drain in it.

    DIY Icebox.

I have everything hooked up and tested it out, it worked very well. My grow room is 3' x 4' x 7 1/2' and completely sealed. It was 72 degree's with everything off starting out. Using city water which is about 65 degree's, I turned on my 600W HPS and the water, it went up to 80 degree's and held...

    lights that are cooled?? HOW.........

I would suggest 1/4 HP chiller minimum but here is a 1/2 HP on ebay for $375 and they are in FL. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-1-2-HP-CHILL...d=p3286.c0.m14 . If you can fit the reservoir in your tent it will help cool the room but not neccesary and the chiller can go anywhere it is easy to do the...

    lights that are cooled?? HOW.........

I understand just showing alternatives. The problem with window units is they do not seal internaly well you will get odor outside of the room and with portables even though they are vented outside the room the heat exchanger is still I'm the room producing heat. Consumer reports has tons of...

    lights that are cooled?? HOW.........

One more thing sorry. If you are using a portable AC unit and keeping it in the grow room it is producing alot of heat that it has to cool also. When using a chiller setup the compressor part of it that gets hot, is outside the grow room so there is a benefit there also.

    lights that are cooled?? HOW.........

Yes the only difference is with a chiller it is maintaining the temp of the water in you reservoir which is easier than an ac maintaining air temp and it is directing the cooling right at the biggest source of heat in your room. That pros of the icebox chiller set up are not that great, for me...

    Mini-fridge hydro setup

Here's my thoughts, only use one bulb at a time you have one for veg and for flower use them just for that it will help with the temp cause if you don't get it down under at least 85 the bud will be very thin.

    Aeroponic pump timers???

I agree with above 24-7 for pump is the best to start with just watch that the pump does not heat up your reservoir the higher the temp the worse it is for your roots 70 degrees is about the highest I would sugest. As far as nutrients you cannot go wrong with the General Hydroponic products...

    lights that are cooled?? HOW.........

I have a thread on it "DIY Icebox" and here is the link for the chiller. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-1-2-HP-CHILLER-REEF-FISH-TANK-AQUARIUM_W0QQitemZ150368769310QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2302ad551e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 It's not really water cooling the light, it's water cooling...

    DIY Icebox.

I got my ballast today, will be doing my tests in the next couple days. I didnt really think off it before, but I have a 30 gallon reservoir outside my grow room. I will fill it and run a pump on it recirculating to see if the water will cool off enough when the lights are off to cool them...

I am building the Iceboxes for about $50 a piece and have a source for a 1/2 HP chiller for $375 all I need is a nice inline pump a reservoir, some hoses and clamps, and I have pretty much the same system for a hell of lot less.

    lights that are cooled?? HOW.........

I think it is probably the best and most efficient way to cool. I just think a do it yourselfer can make their own much cheaper as I am trying to do. I am planning on a chiller when I upgrade to a larger room and two lights in a few months.

    lights that are cooled?? HOW.........

I am the owner, water is just covered by HOA fees, and everyone around here waters their lawns all day almost every day I dont think they will miss a little more very much. It is going to be on a timer and run on the same 12 hour cycle as the light not 24 7 and probably wont need to be on full...

    DIY Icebox.

The great thing about this method of cooling is it cools the light and the whole room. Mainly because the air coming through the fan is still cool even after going through the reflector. Check out Hydro Innovations videos on YouTube they explain the whole process real well. Here is a...

    DIY Icebox.

Thanks mindphuk. That one is pretty big and would probably do a good job, but it is expensive. By the time your done it would cost almost as much as an Icebox. Although it would probably cool much better that one.
