    Strips vs COBs

But it's how hard you drive them... I can prolly get well over 200lm/watt on my lights if I run them super low mA.

    Quantum Board 288 80cri 3000k grow

Very nice! I'm finding that the PCB boards seem to give a lot more light to the whole plant, thus I run my lights super low wattage like 150watts... I was down at 125. When I lowered the wattage from 225 to 135 the plants perked up a lot. It's crazy because these kinds of lights are far...

    New CREE COB finally launched

Ah, I just remember seeing something about their new chip being a 2% upgrade. Maybe I remember the name wrong.

    New CREE COB finally launched

After building my LM561c boards at an estimated 170lm/w at 300 watts I can't even pretend to be interested. The spread of light is so good that i hardly have my lights at 200 watts, meaning I'm prolly around 180 lm/w. I understand they are pushing 1800mA but at 1.8amp my lights would be 162ish...

    DIY LM561c s6 320watt light build

The siding is a plastic actually, never gets hot. It does hold the pcb and the heatsink together and seems to work very well. The first 4 I made kinda bow, not bad, but that's because the heatsink was 1/8th. At 3/16 the heatsink keeps it from bowing.

Quantum board, stretch in flower ?

I use my own PCB build for lights but I don't notice any "extra' stretch occurring... All I see is the future of growing. Save your self money and don't buy the same thing twice, why buy HPS only to replace it later with something else that does the same job. It's strange because after doing 2...

    DIY LM561c s6 320watt light build

Gonna turn this into a kind of grow journal just to see the progress of these lights, the cob lights and the 1 HPS I have going. This is only about 1 week into flower, I just lifted the plants under the PCB lights up to scrog and spread them out so they look scattered but in a few days...

    DIY LM561c s6 320watt light build

Thanks! I have 3 different builds, they are all the same light but the perimeter of the light I used rubber on one and 2 different kinds on stuff on the others. It all works, the rubber was cool but not as sharp looking =).

    DIY LM561c s6 320watt light build

I assume you mean 1000watt HPS, the idea is it should be an equivalent. I have not finished anything with these lights yet as I just made them but they use the same chips as quantum boards and chilled led. Also they are 320watt possible lights but I don't plan to run them over 300watts for...

    DIY LM561c s6 320watt light build

I built them myself, outside of having the chips put on a pcb that is... But I did design it myself, so I knew what i was doing for the most part as I was trying to make a light for a specific function. I don't know about the rules here on selling boards but I suppose I'm not against ordering...

    DIY LM561c s6 320watt light build

Thx =) So far they have been growing crazy good. I also love being able to set the wattage 1 by 1... So like some boards are at 250watts but I could easily set it at 253watts, that's not normal for an hps. Instead of lifting the light i can simple lower the wattage but 10-whatever watts to fit...

    DIY LM561c s6 320watt light build

It's my own design yes. it's cheap compared to the cob builds as my cob lights are 240 watt possible light run at 165 watts. basically I need 2 cob lights to equal one of these lights so the cost is much higher $ per watt. they are super nice to work with too, despite being somewhat large...

    DIY LM561c s6 320watt light build

Hello everyone! First I'd like to thank so many people on these forums that give out advice and help to anyone who asks. I learned a lot by being here and still have a long ways to go. I built a 320watt possible light but I built it for a reason. The actual draw from the wall says 320 watts...
