I'm really surprised they haven't sold out yet. Makes me wonder how many they had sitting there when they released the v2. Glad I got mine before they were gone though!
Yes, but I've already conceded that for UV. We're talking other wavelengths.
As for results from Bugbee - I imagine you could request the results via email. Are you suggesting he doesn't have the data?
I think the logical inference is that there is evidence for UV, but not so much for the other wavelengths.
Edit: Oh, and how is it a "bold claim"? Are you aware of any verified, repeated lab results to the contrary? If so, please provide the info!
Ahh, so are you planning multiple fixtures then? I've been out of the scene for a while, but DigiKey was the popular source for Samsung strips last year. Bridgelux EB strips are a good option too. I have seen some recent posts about how they're getting harder to find in stock these days. As for...
Is it a 4x4 space? It would absolutely be more efficient to run more boards at lower wattage. Strips are an even better option if you don't mind the extra wiring work - you can achieve better uniformity with strips than anything else.
"Out for delivery" may be the sweetest three-word phrase after "I love you".
Got my new tent yesterday, but the fixture components just shipped this morning. I hate waiting...
But Epistar-fitted Mars lights are legit? If you were slamming the price, I'd understand, but you're making an off-the-cuff performance implication.
Honestly, there are better angles of attack, such as the fact that their site doesn't list the full specs.
I already watched the video you linked, and it did not indicate that far red would increase flower mass on a shade-avoiding plant.
The differences in your grows are not definitive or empirical.
Happen to have a source on far red increasing flower mass? That's what I'm looking for to convince me that it's worth the fuss. Again, I'm not saying it doesn't, but my current (admittedly limited) understanding is that it'll give you more leaf growth, but that it doesn't necessarily equate to...
I believe the practical value of the Emerson effect has been overstated.
Edit: Also... No offense, but the personal experience of one grower who is not in a tightly controlled lab setting, and who has yet to dial in his nutrients for overall plant health (which describes me as well, so that's...
Very good video, with good info. But it doesn't come close to convincing me that - in a shade avoiding plant like cannabis - far red reliably increases yield over simply adding more "white light". If we were on lettuceitup.org, this would be a different conversation. I'm ready and willing to be...
You have something other than your personal experience to support the claim that IR equals more yield? That's a serious question, because that's not something I know to be an established fact.
We can agree to disagree on that point. My common sense tells me that a company that's to be taken seriously will shell out the relatively small amount of coin required to have their claims verified by someone who doesn't have a vested interest.
