    Timbergrow COB lights

How is it destructive, anti-social, and detrimental to those who depend on discretion? Because he identified the packaging used to obscure the contents? It is no secret that seedbanks disguise shipments in souvenirs such as t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc. I can't understand how mentioning a deck of...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Formula for a quick calculation to convert metric dimensions to square footage: length (cm × .4) x width (cm × .4) ÷ 144. (A factor of .3937 would be more accurate, but .4 is close enough.) Simpler when working with imperial: inches × inches ÷ 144.

Guys I need opinion on this osram/samsung lights

That page has been significantly changed since I last viewed it (yesterday). Additionally, it no longer lists it as a 300w light, no longer lists a coverage area of 2x4, and lists no driver specs whatsoever (that I can find). I find the whole thing to be suspect.

    Quantum Board QB 288 V2

No it won't. The HLG-120-54A is the driver sold with HLG's 135w kit (that 135 is conservative). I have two, both of which exceed 160w at max. This "extra" current is typical for Meanwell A-series drivers.

Guys I need opinion on this osram/samsung lights

That page variously lists the light's wattage to be 200w, 620w, and 300w. It lists its coverage to be both 4x4 and 2x4. So the website needs some work. Not crazy about the footprint. In my opinion, the diodes should be more spread out across the canopy.

I haven't seen Old Thcool trying to hand out bad advice to new growers? To what bad advice are you referring?

    Atreum Lighting QB's.

I may dig Samsung for grow lights, but I can't stand their phone designs. It's bad enough that all the manufacturers are going to glass backs, but that damn edge screen irritates the piss out of me!

Naw, I haven't. Don't take many pics! One of these days I'll get a phone with a decent camera.

Why spend $$$ on a flowering lamp if you have a $ veg lamp?

You've been growing far, far longer than I, so I normally wouldn't attempt to correct you, but on one issue - and one issue only - I'll give it the old college try... Penetration is more an effect of diffusion than intensity. Because of this, strips and boards can achieve greater penetration...

    Recommendations for a 1:1 THC/CBD strain

Hey, all, as the title says, I'm looking for a good 1:1 strain. I want something for the wife to smoke on during the day - something she can definitely feel, but that won't get her too hyper and flighty. (She's a handful when she gets too high! Even your average chill indicas can get her going.)...

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

In my experience, 3000k is excellent for veg. It's practically all I use. Having a high enough light level is key to avoid stretch. Though I'm sure you'll be fine with the plants anyway (a little stretch isn't the end of the world), if you turn your light up a bit you'll probably see less stretch.

Yeah, I wondered the same. But it sometimes seems to be tantamount to heresy around here if you question PLC.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Yes! This is also what I want to see from HLG - strips or boards with added red (630/660nm). And I'd like a higher ratio of red (and more evenly dispersed) than the PLC strips. (And It would be a nice bonus if we got some no-heatsink, QB120/132/192-style boards with that red enhancement.)
