I think personally I would get rid of the water and just mist it a couple times a day if it wre me. I currently have going a group of clones on a heat mat under a small 16" flouro tube and all i do is mist em a few times a day. Seems to do the job for me.

No, although you dont need alot of soap in the water.. a couple drops of dish soap i a spray bottle. The soap is a surfactant which is actually used in agriculture to aid as a spreader / sticker agent for pesticides.
