    Twisted White Widdow Seedlings

Your other situation is primarily a pH problem. The way one or more plants have those pale green, drooping leaves at the very top of the plant is definately pH. It looks like some are worse than others. From how they look, we expect their pH to be too acidic so have some Lime or pH up on hand...

    Nutes for particular strains?

Every strain will indeed have its own perfect nutrient levels but they vary with growing techniques and conditions, as well as with different types of fertilizers, to say nothing about different phenotypes. Alot can be said for simply observing the type of growths your strain displays. For...

    guano tea

Teas aren't made with liquids. A tea is when you take solid ferts, soak them in water and then filter out the solids, leaving the nutrients in the liquid.

    Twisted White Widdow Seedlings

Check the soil pH. Gnarled, twisted new growth can come from high pH.

    roots

No, actually a plant that is "Root Bound" is not growing roots because the substrate is too restrictive. If roots are still growing then the plant isn't root bound yet. Even if the plant is not root bound, but just a couple of the roots have bound because of restrictions, it will grow just fine...

    whats this deficiency?

Calcium does cause a condition that's similar to that but look at how only one half of certain leaf blades is showing it. When Ca causes that whitish powdery look on the leaves, it's all over them. What you have there is probably early Phosphorus deficiency.

    Help please.

    Looks like dangerously high pH.

    stuck in seedling stage?

It looks damaged or deformed. It sometimes happens to seedlings that either while first forming, while in the shell or as they come out of the shell, some damage occurs. This is sometimes just a genetic oddity and other times the young plant is cut by the shell as it sprouts. It's much more...

    roots

We use 3-liter bottles exclusively during veg. Cover them in tin foil. When a few strong roots can be seen at the bottom, it doesn't mean they need to be repotted yet. After awhile they will swirl into little coils in the dips at the bottom of the bottle and more, smaller roots will start being...

Beginning of an issue? Magnified Pics and I'm a little color-blind ;p

If you've been giving them a good amount of P then you should definately explore other avenues. We didn't mention it because it's such a rare condition that no post we've answered has ever shown it, but Boron deficiency creates necrosis very similar to P def but much more orange. Your problem...

Intake, exhaust & cooling fan Qs

Depends on what you mean by simple. We always intake lamp-cooling air from a cool, shaded place outdoors and then vent it back outside again. Nine months out of the year, this keeps the lamps anywhere from cool to cold and then we take the summer off. This is what I'd call the "easiest" because...

will MH ballast run a HPS bulb?

There's also the ignitor to consider. I've heard that a MH bulb will work in an HPS ballast, it just won't last as long & will have a higher risk of failure. It doesn't work the other way around, using an HPS bulb in a MH ballast.

Intake, exhaust & cooling fan Qs

There are three parts to grow room air circulation; cooling for lights, fresh air for the plants to breathe and air blowing onto the plants. Centrifugal fans like those from CanFan, Fantech and other companies are the most efficient for most grow applications. Cooling for lights should at least...

My plants are messed up and i dont know what to do!!!!

The brown crispy parts are likely from Phosphorus deficiency. There may also be some Ca def as Bud suggested. You should check the pH of the soil first and then feed them with a solution pH'd to correct the soil. Bone Meal works well for P & Ca, and you still need to give them Potassium for...

    Question for manicuring experts

First off, we should say that if you increase the light, with proper cooling, lower branches can produce more bud. We top our plants, leaving two nodes on each. Each node has two growing shoots. The two shoots on the top node grow fastest since they're closest to the light. Once these two have...

Big Carbon Filter vrs Smaller "Car Type" Filter

If it were me and the only thing I wanted to accomplish was decreased noise, I'd build a wooden chambered muffler. Maybe with some padding or foam lining the inside. With no filter involved, there's no regular maintenance required.

    chemical burn?

250w equivalent or does it draw a real 250w? The question would be if they're too warm under the light, rather than warm enough. There should be some airflow. Moving the bulb will help but get a fan blowing on them if there isn't one yet.

    22 liter pot is enough??

Yes. You'll want the container to be taller than it is wide but with a good shape, 22L can support at least 90days of flowering. Only using the minimum size pot the plants need during veg & transplanting into their flowering containers shortly before flowering helps to keep root growth down.

Few questions about cloning, please help!

    1. Yes but there are two issues to consider. First, you want at least a couple days time to heal before flowering. Second, cutting off two growing shoots without giving the plant time to start growing new ones will deprive your harvest of two colas. If the plant already has more stalks than you...
