    First Grow - CFL's - LST - Bagseed - Rubbermaid Stealth Box - Low budget - *PICS*

Are you going to do a single plant grow again? If so I wonder how well a piece of poster board with a hole over the pot would help so that one may try an continue the LST on the poster board an take up all the room in the grow area. Would be a good bottom reflector an a few more.. hehe vertical...

My first cfl grow! MAJOR QUESTION please help

Sorry I missed the "2(20w)" in your first post. That should be enough like to start out with, so do you have 1 20w on each? ya might want to get 2 more 20w just to have equal wattage an then save the 15/18 or use for side lighting as the potential ladies grow. The plants look good in the pic...

    i have a question

Like Nuthin said... it all depends. You can use a cloner an get roots really fast, or just snip an plant. I prefer to cut, scour the stem, dip in rootin hormone, an plant in a jiffy pot. I think jiffy is the better way to go than straight into soil. The roots can grow through the jiffy material...

1ST STEALTHBOX GROW (ghetto) -- PICS

Hey Crazy, thanks for sharing your grow. There is nothing wrong with ghetto grows, I myself am continuously evolving mine. Looks like your off to a good start with the grow area. How should i position my CFLs for this setup(pics)

Well I still think you need more light an I personally do not like CFL tubes. You can only put them in so many positions. I would much rather use a inexpensive power strip an then use the polarized + Y-adapters to get a good concentration on the light. Here is one I put together a few days ago...

    CFL Growing Costs

I have seen multiple power strip light set ups around RIU, so I had to make one myself a few days ago. Power Strip Light Start. Power Strip Finished. Power Strip in use. I do have somewhat of a reflector... I bought heavyweight poster board an cut it in half an rest it on top of the...

I wanted to know if there would be any ill-effects from smoking buds from a plant that received the mercury vapor deposits from the inside of the CFL. If the plant/s get contaminated will smoking...

Hello Puma, thanks for posting your grow. Lookin good to me. What do ya think a rough estimate would be for total grow time so far? Also what temp/lumens are your bulbs that you posted? I'm still just in the veg cycle with a few clones that I might toss into 12/12 after they have recouped and I...

First Grow - How's it lookin'?

I was watering a bit to moisten the soil about every 2-3 days and to me the plants jus looked unhappy yet green. Maybe not enough water I thought, so the next watering I took them all out an into the tub. Watered them each a bit at a time till it came out the bottom. It took at least 4 times as...

    First Grow - CFL's - LST - Bagseed - Rubbermaid Stealth Box - Low budget - *PICS*

    CFL Growing Costs

6500K/2700K is the light color spectrum that is emitted from said bulb. K = Kelvin and that is a unit increment of temperature. 6500K(Daylight/bright white) emit a blueish hue and are good for green growth, that is why it is pretty common to use them during the vegetative cycle. 2700K(warm...
