The Capsaicin is what makes a pepper hot and capsaisin is a irritant to mammals. I wonder if mimicking a mammal trying to eat the plant by scarring the pepper or snipping leaves would produce a higher capsaicin count in the future peppers from seed/clone?

Well some great advise would be a rundown of what your grow consists of... grow medium, color spectrum of lights, pot size, light cycle, style of grow... list goes on and on. BTW pictures can tell so much.

Yeah that will probably get ya some smokage, 4 42w will work and yes that is correct for veg/flower lighting. How is your ventilation, what are the temps at? If ya go into a bit more with the kind of soil, size of pots, light time cycle, grow room wall surface... so much!

I've read some nutes can dye the roots a bit, I sure hope it is the nutes he is using. Even though the plant looks pretty healthy might be something to look in to. If the roots are a bit out of whack an the plant looks good imagine what it might look like if they where pristine... :mrgreen:

I would not be to worried about them bottom leaves, I have read countless threads that say that is common for the lower leaves to do just that. If they don't get as much light as they did before or as much light as the canopy receives then they are a nute sink an so die off. I had that problem...

Have your roots always been that color?
