It'll do fine. I was using a Tetra 30-60 gallon dual output (from Wally World) on an 18gal rez and it did fine, but when my plants got bigger I got a much more powerful pump. The 100 on a 10gal sounds pretty good to me.

you don't need it. I guess it speeds it up, but I've cloned plants just by sticking them in dirt and keeping it moist. I think in a bubble cloner, you'd be less likely to "need" it. People say it takes a few days off rooting time though.

I have 4 in my 18 gallon Rez and it is too many. If you're doing more holes, you'll just veg them shorter.

I think if you were going to have off cycles for that long, you might want to make it a dwc hybrid system, so that the roots don't dry out too much. It's cheaper than buying a cycle timer.
