Aero-Soil Hybrid: Lemon Skunk, Jock Horror, LA Woman

I've been pretty busy, so I haven't posted in a few days, but I got my 6" inline fan in the mail last week and installed it on the cool tube; moving the booster fan from the tube to my intake. Things are looking a lot better. My temps dropped from the mid to upper 90s down to an average high of...

Check out this link too. It's from HTG. *edit - I just realized you were looking for a 600w. Sorry I've been on a few threads today answering similar questions, and I saw someone posted this link. For $275: Kit Includes: 400 watt Grow Light with Four Sided Horizontal Reflector High...

    Light suggestions please

I guess it depends on the ambient temps outside the room. I would say yeah, but I've never grown in a tent. You would be able to get the light closer with a cool tube, and they are easy and cheap to make. I made one easy with a pyrex bake-a-round. For my grow I just ordered a 6" 500cfm fan just...

    any advise

Yeah you'll need to exhaust somehow. Check out my grow; I have a 400w HPS with a cooltube and it's still too hot right now (because it just got hot outside), but you have the advantage of having a setup inside, where there is AC. I think if you made a cooltube and found a good way to bring in...

Here's a link for a nicely priced 600w digital system. *edit - I found a thread with a better link, which I've updated. **re-edit - The new link is the ballast only. Here is a full system.

Dont get CFLs. I used 100W 2700K CFLs for a while, and alhough they are good, they dont penetrate nearly as well as a 400W HPS. I moved a plant that had two 100W cfls on it to an area that had a 400w HPS and its buds got real thick quick. I got mine from Inside Sun for $90.

A bit of a pickle! (lighting)

I dont have exp with either, but if I was doing it, I would go with 2 x 600w, since they are more efficient and can get closer to the plants. Even though watts per plant may be a constant, your lumens per plant are variable, depending on the distance to the light. So, yeah, if I had your space I...

HELP. My closet is too HOT

This is what I was talking about in my first post. I have one as well, but for my situation it is no longer good enough.

Well it got hot. In the 90s. In my earlier post I forgot to mention that when I went in this morning, the temp was 98F and the girls weren't happy, especially Jock Horror. Her new leaves were all twisted. AI and LS had their top leaves pointing up in the air, while drooping at the same time. I...

Aero-Soil Hybrid: Lemon Skunk, Jock Horror, LA Woman

I got some time today to work on my cool tube. I mounted the light socket in the tube and connected ducting on the other end of the tube that was previously left open for the cab's exhaust. The 6" booster fan was moves to the other aide of the cab to shorten the length of the ducting that leaves...

HELP. My closet is too HOT

Haha. It could be a way to negate the effects of growing MJ on our carbon footprint. When it becomes legal, maybe I'll open up a grow house/laundry mat.

The usual happened today with the DWC bucket. Same ph problems, same rez temp problems, blah! I'm over it. Acutally I've never really been too upset about it, as she was just an experiment. If I can get the DWC's rez environment right at any point before she dies, I'll be happy. I ordered a 6"...

HELP. My closet is too HOT

like we've said - your only real options are to build a cab, or at least a front wall and top, so you can seal the growing area off and have a duct fan pulling air out; or cutting a hole in the ceiling and ducting up and out. I don't see opening and closing the door at lights out as a viable...

What's the difference between these 6" inline fans?

haha. I could just see myself crossing the border, explaining to border patrol that I drove 3000 miles to save 50 bucks. They'd dick slap me for being dumb. And yes, they can do that. This is America - home of the free.

Well damn! Not online, surely? Like I said Van, BC is a long way away.

What's the difference between these 6" inline fans?

I don't need a filter for my cooltube. Last I checked, lights didn't emit odors. Plus I'm a looooong way from Vancouver (~3000 miles). The only hydro store in my area sells those for a stupid price. Anyhoo, I just bought the 6" Tjerndlund fan off e-bay for $100 after shipping and tax.

What's the difference between these 6" inline fans?

Alright I found my answer. I should have just googled a bit before starting this. I just came across this thread where some folks are talking up these 6" Tjerndlund Fans (530 cfm). I'm going with this one for sure.

What's the difference between these 6" inline fans?

I just found this thread that talks about the Value Line 6" centrifugal fan. People are saying some real good things about it, alot of them using it for exactly the same purpose, with exactly the same bulb. One person said it does just as well as vortexs they own.
