It's kinda old school. 30 years ago I grew in soil using crumpled beer cans for drainage. Now people put the hydroton or perlite mixed into the soil. Much better. JD

Turbo, Lots of guys plan to do a rich organic soil grow with no added nutrients...until the plant starts fading weeks before it should. So have a good organic flowering nutrient on standby in case you need it. JD

Chris, A plant that size should be trained more. You are after buds...correct? When you top...you eliminate one bud site...replacing it with two. And those large leaves down by the dirt...lose em. Just mold waiting to happen. JD
