Water and nutes travle back down and into the soil at night. I would think the best time to water is just b4 sun up or lights on. With mites i use plane tobacco water in a spray bottle. Steep a few broken smokes in hot water for a few hours. Works well for mites no idea about mildew tho... spray and wipe it off?

Well i dont know what labour pains feel like but i sure do know what your talking about. I myself suffer from IBS and the only thing that helps is my AK47. Love her to death. Got a small grow in my backyard with 5 plants. Good luck with your grow and ur IBS.
