Fwiw. I just built a light using 6 vero 29B SE on an hlg 320 1050a. I would consider this design setup. Maxes the drivers voltage rating and puts out about 365watts at full power. Consider this setup is the same price but more efficient...
And I went with 3 3500 80cri and 3 3000 90cri.
Sure, but unnecessary. But what I find funny is, Id assume you spend the money on the meter, but for what? To set your light at a height that gives you an arbitrary reading?
Its really only as complex as you want to make it tbh.
That being said, I spent months researching before I ever started growing. Hell, I spent over a month just researching before I dove into LED not too long ago...
But again, it doesnt have to be this complex.
FWIW, if budget isnt of...
Dont the CC CV versions have two internal pots for each setting?
So if you were to set the CV at 50 and CC to 1000ma, the driver will try to give it 1000ma in CC mode unless the COB draws 50v before it draws 1000ma at which point it switches to CV mode to limit the voltage and effectively...
Pretty sure it was advertised as CC but it was actually a CV, fried several LEDs, got meanwell drivers and never looked back. Have never had a problem with them, they are a very solid high quality product.
Anymore I typically deal with high voltage drivers and I dont think Id want to trust a...
I have noticed that sometimes when theyre dimmed they do make a VERY low hum. But it is barely audible so it is probably of no concern for him.
No fans either, but if you are running them full tilt they might need a bit of airflow as they can get hot.
For anyone curious about the ACTUAL output of a meanwell driver before you buy one.
Go here: http://www.meanwell.com/product/led/LED.html
And at the top of the driver page you select, there will be a spot at the top next to the open "specs" tab that says "report", go there.
Go down to...
Could you explain why you need temp and humidity data for outside your grow?
It would seem to me that regardless of what the readings are outside the tent, you would just want to hit your target inside the temp.
Or do you use ambient air inflow assuming it will help you hit your target...
