    The LED "Arms race".....

Thank you! Where can I find a calculator so I don't have to wear out my lead on estimations? I don't think there is enough gain to under drive that far. 700 mA is over 180 lm/W, IIRC.

    Greenhouse Ideas

I won't get into the construction of a greenhouse since designs and prefabricated structures are prevalent. However, I will suggest a solar panel setup with some LED's along the top of the greenhouse to bump the light a bit. This would help on cloudy/rainy days if you have a large enough...

    The LED "Arms race".....

Wow. That's a lot of COBs, I actually purchased the Vero29Cs for the headroom so I wouldn't have to buy a whole bunch of 'em, then find a heat sink, drill, tap, so on and so forth. How much did that cost to build? What is the efficacy of the Vero29C under-driven @ 85 mA?

First LED GROW w Viraspectra PAR600

If you want the most yield you will need to replace the blurple. 6" extractor and filter will do fine. Hydroponics is a must. 80-85° F 60-65% RH; 45-55% RH late flower Don't over-feed, don't under-feed. Don't pee on your plants, I don't care what anyone says. :leaf:

    are air stones even necessary?

Time and time again. Use the stones that produce the smallest bubbles. PetSmart brand 2" cylinder stones work well, inexpensively. You'll be adding heat with an air pump, you'll have to come up with a solution for that.

    Short answer, yes.

my viparspectra is wiping the floor with my vero29s watt for watt

The plant in the last photo is in need of NPK, it is showing signs of all three as well as a Cal/Mag issue. This is very common.

    LED Companies w/ LINKS

Yea, apparently another member didn't have as great of an experience with shipping times and a custom build he wanted. Sounded more like a misunderstanding on both sides. Everyone seems to be happy though.

my viparspectra is wiping the floor with my vero29s watt for watt

All in all, those Veros should be putting out four times the light of that 200W blurple, easily. That would explain the deficiencies. The plants under the Veros need more food because they are getting more light. Try running the Veros at half power and lowering them to 45-50 cm with the same...

my viparspectra is wiping the floor with my vero29s watt for watt

I would. More light than the plant was fed for. The lights are too bright. If that's a thing. Heh :leaf:

swapped out my chinese blurple panels for timber vero29 bulbs and you won't believe the difference

The give away was the discolouring on the lower leaves, the dark veins and purple blue colour of the upper leaves. Tips drying and curling could have been many, many things but since they are on the bottom I'm going with deficiency across the board (NPK). :leaf:

I don't think it is the lights. That plant looks mighty hungry.

Which COBs did you purchase? How many mA? How far from the canopy?
