So many people under estimate the importance of perlite, drainage and oxygen in the root system. There is a difference between watering and feeding. I check my plants daily for their needs, and until you know the strain your growing everyone should.

There is no norm for watering and feeding. There are so many variables that will determine what a plant needs and when. From the looks of that picture she is thirsty and hungry. you said it man! a lot of people shun cab growing and micro grows, because it does have its complexities and anomalies. I say its aggregate of growing in our conditions because we don't have or want to dedicate the space to growing in an entire room. So yes it does require a lot of forethought...
