Is that why it won't burn the seedlings when I first plant them because the roots will be alternately be growing in supersoil and ocean forest layers over the first few weeks of being transplanted? And so you mean the transplant should be 8"-10" deep in the soil in the new pot?

Instead of layering the soil, could you just mix 1 part ocean forest to 1 part super soil and mix well. If there a benefit to layering over this method? I just don't want to burn the 2 week old seedlings. What do you mean exactly by keep the edges with the super soil?

If I make a soil with fox farms ocean forest and happy frog 50/50, then I add dolomite lime, happy frog dry fertilizer(http://www.amazon.com/FoxFarm-FX14058-Happy-Purpose-Fertilizer/dp/B0001YC3G4), and worm castings. Do I have to "cook" this soil before using it?

Yea I was, I was feeding them 1/4 strength nutrients and they were looking sick and runoff was 5.8-6.0 with 6.5 ph'd water so I figured they were being locked out of nutrients.

Fox farm grow big and tiger bloom aren't organic. Only big bloom is.

So you never ph your water? Even if you use liquid fertilizers? I was led to believe the water you feed with can change the ph of your soil.
