    Ventilating a 5 x 5 x 7.5 grow tent

how long has the filter been hanging and what kind of tent are you using?

Got the major needs tallied; howzabout help with the little stuff?

1 Get a digital timer… avoid the ones with pins. I think its easier to just move the lights further than it is to wire up your own dimmer if you don't know what your doing. The actual lumens varies with the square of the distance so you're going to see a lot less light very quickly with just a...

    Clonex gel in cloner?

Im really surprised that the gel didn't wash off after all that time(the reason your friend suggested not to use gel) yet again that doesn't seem to have been a problem for you can you post a picture ?

    Ventilating a 5 x 5 x 7.5 grow tent

So lets say I use the 240 cfm fan to cool the 400 watt light AND attach a carbon scrubber to it. In addition I get a 4 inch 240 cfm as intake. And I have a small 191 cfm fan moving air around within the ten. just to be clear the fan is cooling the light AND exhausting a 5 x 5 x 7.5 room. Is...

    Clonex gel in cloner?

The gel itself is pink yea? Maybe the roots aren't ready to absorb whatever is in there. What method are you using to clone (ez cloner is aero?) and how long have the roots been showing?

    Aero Cloning

Thats really good advice. I have tried one of each actually and so far neither are working 6 days in :( Some of the stems are sort of "hollow" do you think that could be a problem? I've noticed this seems to happen more with clones taken from hydro plants.

    The lowest stress training

Constantly tying back branches should allow light to reach the entire plant, especially if the main stems are made to grow horizontally. This has the added benefit that tying back the main branch so it is as close to horizontal as possible sends a similar signal to the plant as topping so that...

    Nutrient effect on plants

Hey all, i've just doubled the dose of nutes and now i'm noticing the plant is drooping like she has been over/under watered. Theres no nute burn so I'm curious, can using too much of any nutrient cause the plant to droop slightly? Edit: this is a bubbling dwc setup with aero components.

Clone reservoir pH fluctuations and stem issues

I use the General Hydro PH Kit and a digital pH Pen (actually i use two pens to maintain accuracy) as for how I achieved levitation maybe i dropped some good cookies in the cloner by mistake :) this phenomenon has actually happened twice. The cloner is made of some sort of plastic and Im...

    The lowest stress training

I can say that the limbs I have produced with this method are nearly as thick as the main stem, not stringy… however this did happen over the course of about 2 months so there may be a faster method to produce the same result. At this time I can't definitively say that this will increase yield...

    The lowest stress training

Thats completely possible, I never saw it mentioned in any of the guides I read though… and I read a lot before I started.

Clone reservoir pH fluctuations and stem issues

Why might the reservoir in a cloner (aka just pH water, no nutrients at all) be rising over time? I put it in at 5.5 and days later its back to 6.5! Also i've noticed that some of the stems are "hollow" on some clones, is this the sign of a problem?

    The lowest stress training

I use cfl's for the side lights so I set them within about 6 inches of the plant to help focus the light and I keep them housed in metal reflectors so theres basically a spotlight on the stem. Growing horizontal is a neat idea, I'm guessing you use just one light, though I also think if you...

    The lowest stress training

I thought i would share my own contribution to the growing world since i've gotten so much out of this site. I've developed a method I call lowest stress training because it puts literally no stress on the plant and can still get those big colas. Basically what I do is use multiple lights to...

    Converting 02 to C02

Well… you're not wrong lol I meant is there something I can setup that will do this without my body. I know lots of the really serious growers have been pumping in CO2 but i'm wondering if there is something that works passively (this post inspired by technology read about in The Martian)

    White slime on clone stems

Thanks for the help everybody. I'm realizing now that the heat problem is coming up possibly because the material is made of plastic and also possibly because this particular motor just runs very hot. I've also added some ice and i have the container sitting on an ice bag so hopefully that...

    Effect of heat on yield

I was just wondering if I see my plant leafs start to curl in around the top nodes during flowering (i'm assuming this would only happen due to heat, if there are other reasons feel free to correct), will I be losing buds? If so what can I do?

    Are my ladies slow bloomers?

I might be able to if I knew what strain you've got there. Different strains really do look wildly different especially during flowering. Best I can say now is that the upper branches that have more discolored leaves still have more buds than the lower branches that have green leaves so I think...
