    Tent help

@BigTexan LOL i actually made one of these and it does hold but I don't trust it over time… maybe if i had two screws instead of just one, but there isn't a lot of room for extra screws because of the size of the tubes… i'm thinking if I start with one solid block of wood and just drill some...

    Tent help

New question. What is the easiest material of metal tubing for welding that will still maintain a strong bond (this bond should be capable of holding at least 300 pounds)? I have no welding specific tools.

    Tent help

Lets say that half of 8 of the three way corner connectors are missing. They are made of an unknown metal. Could a pvc corner handle the same amount of weight as the metal ones it is replacing? I was thinking maybe if they are used in the base so there is nothing hanging off the top it would be...

    Ventilating a 5 x 5 x 7.5 grow tent

I've actually found that fan to be kind of quiet, i really only hear it in the room its in and even then its just white noise. So the fan can both cool a light and scrub the air clean and bring in ventilation, cool thanks. Still wondering about that scrubber, I found some bags of activated...

    Help cloning

OK. Thanks for everything so far. Prepping for a fresh start and i want to make sure I've got everything right this time. Heat under yes. Heat the air around no (maybe this messed up the leaves) (so don't worry about keeping temps as high as 75, maybe closer to 65-70) Wet once in the beginning...

    Help cloning

Could the leaf curling have been caused by too much light? It didn't seem to start so much until the cfl was added… but 1 23 watt cfl 5 days into cloning doesn't seem very extreme

    Help cloning

Hmm maybe the side heating is what crisped up the leaves… it was only around 75 degrees which many people seem to think is a good idea but maybe 75 really just is too high. Dome and heats gone for now so maybe they will dry out and recover but I'm not holding my breath. Will update tomorrow if...

    Help cloning

The more i look at it the more i think maybe overwatering, if i pick up a jiffy pellet and give a light squeeze and water comes out, is that a sign of too much or could that be ok? The thing thats weird is … why would the leaves turn crispy in a humid overwatered environment while the stems get...

    Help cloning

Thanks for all the help guys… follow up question. Once the stems are starting to get mushy does that mean its time to give up on the clone and try again or can a plant bounce back from that?

@chuck estevez Bag's off. Looks like yours never had a dome on to begin with? Maybe adding a small fan is a good idea? @dbdweller Im under 3000 and feeling even lower watching them die :( Does heat coming in from the side have the same effect as heat from underneath? just checked and a few...

    Help cloning

Heres a pic of a similar setup, forgot to mention theres a 23 watt cfl in the mix. @dbdweller assume its already dipped in rootech gel and in indole 3 acid powder, what other root enhancers are there??? @chuck estevez so leave some standing water under rather than try to get water in through...

    Help cloning

If 15 cuttings are not showing roots after 7 days, is something wrong? Not only that but they seem to be slowly wilting, like they are just kind of dying a little bit each day. Their environment is an enclosed plastic bag with vents, the humidity fluctuates between 65% and 75% as they are...

    Ventilating a 5 x 5 x 7.5 grow tent

Can I get away with using a ventech 6 inch duct booster rated at 240 cfm to cool a 400 watt metal halide and ventilate the room as well along with a lasko personal 6inch to keep air moving around inside the tent. And Can I use the DIY carbon filter method described in this thread with just...

    Roots that grow huge

I can't edit my post now so I've gotta double post. I reread my question and I think this is really what I'm asking. Am I getting the best of both worlds by having some parts of the roots completely submerged all the time while some roots (about 6-7 inches) are getting lots of oxygen and only...

    Roots that grow huge

Have you noticed any difference in growth rate with a separate container for the res? Like panhead said I am seeing a huge amount of growth though I no longer have a true aero setup.
