I fill my dwc buckets up past the net pot bottom. If you have good air bubbles I see no reason to not put more water in leaving no real airspace. Roots are going to be in water 24 hours a day anyway. Interesting there are many ways to do this. I am afraid my roots closest to the net pot bottom...

I have used 1000watt mh bulbs on and off for a few years and never had that happen to me.

Cost may be a factor also. Them big fans and ducts cost a bunch. It may pay to go with dedicated smaller fans, for cooling, filtering, and venting.. I would work this out on paper too see which option is going to give you the best system for the best price.

Like snaps said, you are asking way too much for just one six inch fan. I was thinking at least eight or ten. Twelve would be good and then some. Go with a six inch only if you want to buy more fans in the future. Imo.

I also love growing hot peppers in my hydro garden. I suck at it for some reason, probably overdoing things too much. I grow when I need a change from my mmj garden. This time I am going to try some Thai chilies in my dwc buckets instead of ebb and flow setup.

Too many variables to answer your question. How many watts are you cfls? How many watts is the hps going to be? You need fans for air circulation? Etc....
