Im Building My Grow Room...Any Help Appreciated

LOL, that's a funny pic, I like that you're taking the time to really decide. I'm going to shut up on this post about that because you already know what I think.....(subliminal....go hydro.....go hydro....go hydro) What was I saying??? Errrrr...anyway. One more note, if you go for the dual...

    1000 Watt RDWC Setup

Thanks Dystopia. I'm guessing there may be a few questions out there on parts, setup details, etc. We'll see...

1000 Watt Light for 4x4x6.5 grow room?

2 words....NO WAY! 1000 Watt is way overkill. In addition to the heat, 1000 watt bulbs will burn leaves at a distance of anything under about 30 inches....sometimes at even more distance. In the reflector, the bulb itself will already be hanging 10 - 12 inches below the ceiling and your plant...

    1000 Watt RDWC Setup

Well, I would like to have started from scratch with a "how to" of setting this system up, but I was just too busy while actually doing it. I'll keep it simple and let you all ask questions should you have any. This room is set up as follows: 1000 Watt Super Spectrum relfector with 600...

Im Building My Grow Room...Any Help Appreciated

I'm certainly not a pro and I've never fucked up my plants to date, including my total newb, first go-round DWC in rubbermaid bins. Seriously, the hydro doubters are all soil guys that have this unfounded fear of hydro. You're not going to fuck up. All of the nutrient lines have detailed...

Im Building My Grow Room...Any Help Appreciated

Ruva, First of all, I agree with the idea to keep mothers and clones in the same room, no need to complicate things. Below is a link to a "how to" RDWC system called "The Bio Buckets". It's the method I used for my setup and it is by far the best and easiest method of hydro I've used to date...

Im Building My Grow Room...Any Help Appreciated

Cool! (pun intended). Don't think I'm going to let you slide by without addressing the hydro thing. You're apparently committed to this project as proven by the work you've done thus far. With a little more hard work, you could have the most badass setup around. That room needs an RDWC...

Im Building My Grow Room...Any Help Appreciated

Ok, I read a little too quickly through your post the first time. That AC should do a pretty good job of keeping your room cool. But if it was really hot in that room before the AC was installed, that little unit is going to be quite challenged to keep it cool along with what looks like two 1000...

Im Building My Grow Room...Any Help Appreciated

You're off to a good start, but there are several things I'd change. A couple of quick thoughts: 1) 1st of all, you've got your lights mixed up. You want the MHs in the mother room and the HPS in the flower room. 2) You ABSOLUTELY need to have fresh air intake and exhaust out of the room...

    Going on third weeks budding

I have a 740 CFM watt fan for my 1000 watt. It's much much better to have too much fan than too little. Buy a big fan and "The Speedster" fan controller (Google it)which allows you to adjust the fan speed in order to dial right in to 75 F. They cost around $30 and are one of the best...

    DWC Bubbler Grow (4 plants)

LOL, I guess this was beginners luck. Al my friends still say to this day that my first Satori grow was some of, if not the best weed they'd ever tasted. Not to blow my own horn, but "Beep Beep" JK, but seriously, I wish I'd kept that Monster as a mother. I would still be cloning that bitch...

PICS - Yellow/Brown Spots on Fan Leaves - 4 weeks into flower

I think I found out the problem and it just goes to show how you can get too relaxed with each successive grow. I tested my Ph meter and sure enough it was reading 1.5 too high, which means that I've really never allowed the solution to get up into the 5.9 range like I thought I'd been. When...

PICS - Yellow/Brown Spots on Fan Leaves - 4 weeks into flower

Thanks for the feedback. I have generally been keeping my Ph in the 5.6 - 5.8 range as mentioned in my original post, but I occasionally let it "drift" down into the 5.5 range and up to the 5.9 range to make sure I'm getting broad elemental uptake. Any other thoughts out there?

PICS - Yellow/Brown Spots on Fan Leaves - 4 weeks into flower

C'mon peeps! I don't get it...I write a very detailed explanation of my problem, thoroughly explain my setup, and include some relatively clear pics of the leaves and all I get is one reply from a newb (no offense to the newb) who thinks it's heat stress or nute burn (both of which it's not)...

    Will this cause hot spots?

Use the velcro method mentioned above. I actually hung mind from the ceiling with velcro and it hangs perfectly straight. Get the industrial strength stuff from Home Depot. Expensive, but the glue on the back sticks like no other.
