I know i was not asked but i think that it is not all heat related. we get 100+ and up to 130 deg for weeks at a time and i give them full sun

honey would be fine if like you say you have access to lots of it' i use a product called ozi tonic it is organically derived from the bees wax it is quite a good product,its full of vitamins and all the good stuff.

the color is not from the cold as they are living inside under lights at the moment, the stems on these plants are always a purple color. as to the feeding i may have to later in the grow cycle but it wont be much.
