    To Much Veg...

hi all, I've got myself into a bit of a mess here. Just flipped some plants over to the flower room after a longer than expected veg time. I'm afraid that if I let them go they will get too tall. What would the best thing for me to do be? Major prune, lst, supercrop? Any ideas would be...

    1st Grow in a while

Well I've harvested my first plant, Kaya. She was flipped over worse than any of them, and was beyond help. The trichs are almost all opaque with a few Amber here and there. Pistils are about 60-70% red. From the looks of her I'd say she's done. I'm going to continue harvesting weakest to strongest.

    soil runoff ppm

Hey I'm gonna say yes it is helpful to check soil container runoff for pH as well as ppm. The first thing you need is accurate tools. I personally prefer blue lab since it is widely held in high regard and because they have served me well. Of course it's key that you know the ppm and pH of...

    White Widow X Bigbud

Ok so the only negative thing I have found about this strain is the stems are not strong enough to hold the weight of the buds. Some are buckeling rather than bending. Bending I can handle... I don't like the buckle. Next time I'll spend more time trying to figure out how to install support.

    1st Grow in a while

The culture of illegality and deception has got to go. It's just ridiculous. Here are my girls. Switched nutes today to ripen. Gh Kool Bloom dry and a little hummic acid ... Both to recommended strengths. Got an EC meter today... Curious to see the runoff readings. I have some marginal stresses...

    1st Grow in a while

So many variables. Just when I get used to the environment, it changes. Got the main house ac fixed and now temps are running about 10°F lower. Soil temp has dropped as well, and it looks like nutrient solution uptake has slowed down. Gotta keep reminding myself to not react ... Be patient ...

    First time using smart pots

Must have ions for good ionic exchange. If you have to use bottled water id go with spring water.

    First time using smart pots

I agree - wait a bit before you transplant- a couple more leaf sets for that size pot before you transplant would make the transition easier. Smart pots are awesome. I use 3's and 5's (U.S. Gallon) in the veg room and 15's in the flower. They really do grow healthier plants. They take a bit to...

26 day old bag seed plant

Ok facts. Does first hand experience count? As a test I ran side-by-side DWC tomato plants. Natural light started them both out with GH base trio. They were looking great. Healthy etc. as the gent says he uses it to stay on the cheap and that is exactly why I wanted to try it. So I gave a...

    Does PH change?

Soil shouldn't ever dry out because it's a living thing, and like most living things, it needs water to grow and thrive. Drying out soil kills off the beneficial microbes. Without these microbes, soil is just another growing media like rockwool or coco. I like the surface of my soil to dry out...

    1st Grow in a while

Beginning to see some ambering of pistils on a couple of plants ... Same pheno actually. Most of the others are all still white or not noticeably amber. Got the house a/c fixed and temps are in the low to mid 70's. RH at lights on was 60% but I had watered at lights out today. Entering the final...

    vibrating scrog net?

Lol! One of the goals of running a fan is to help strengthen stems, but it's of a very limited benefit unless you've got a big ass fan. The primary reason you have a fan blowing air on your plants is to help with gas exchange and transpiration, which as you may already know, are key processes...
