What on earth are you on about? Geographically I live in north eastern europe and on a political compass you would find me pretty far south west.

Cool. Prior to this post I didn't even know you existed, so this is kind of sudden, but goodbye anyway.

    Choosing an LED Light

I didn't mean to rail on you. I'm sorry if I came over rude. It wasn't my intention, but i know i can get carried away. The reason the ppf doesn't change with how high you meter is is because of the enormous distance to sun. The meter is not really any closer to sun even if you took it on top of...

    Choosing an LED Light

This is a pretty good illustration of the other kind of penetration. It's impossible to light all models evenly if the light source is near. A stop is how photographwrs measure light. One stop more is twice the light. Yes, when it's cloudy there are very little shadows because the whole sky...

    Choosing an LED Light

Sun is small compared to the diffusion panel right next to the plant and the diffusion panel is the light source as far as the plant is concerned. Relative size rules.

    Choosing an LED Light

Sorry I'm not explaining my view very clearly. I don't think our ideas differ much. I could probably do a bit better job if I wrote in finnish, but uhm. Yeah... This is something I've spent quite a few hours trying to figure out. I think I have a fairly good grasp of how things go, but it is all...

    Choosing an LED Light

That makes the apparent light source bigger. I have a flash and by putting it in a reflector I make the light source bigger, because the light source is the reflector now. Nah. You just need to figure out the relative size of the light source. It becomes larger with the added light sources...

    Choosing an LED Light

Interesting analogy. I quite like it. The reason a diffuser eliminates shadows is because it makes the light source bigger in relation to the subject. If you move the diffuser further you get more shadows, because you're making the light source smaller. If you placed smaller light sources...

Lol, why bother with idiots? I don't use ignore, but I still ignore most idiots. I mean there are plenty and I ain't gonna debate them because they ain't worth my time. I may whack a mole once in a while, but I'm not dumb enough to think I could whack 'em all.

Yes, we all die eventually... Meanwhile I'm enjoying my vaccines and protection against covid related health problems. I really do wish you will not experience serious problems from the inevitable covid infection though.

    Please stop using peat products

Yeah, they say it's a good additive in acidic soil. Apparently the PH also depends on material used for the char. The product they sell here claims it can be used as the sole substrate in hydro. I guess i would try dtw using buffered hydro nutrients and see how it goes.

    Please stop using peat products

Biochar only. It's quite good environtally and has a porous structure. It can be used as a soil amendment or by itself as substrate. "Biochar is a high-carbon, fine-grained residue that is produced via pyrolysis; it is the direct thermal decomposition of biomass in the absence of oxygen...

    Please stop using peat products

I haven't tried it yet, but biochar could be a good replacement for coco. I might try it next time incase I don't go back to DWC.

Clone growing node and internodes too much?

I take clones at around week three of flower often. I use tiny soft branches at the bottom of the plant. They have less flowering hormones the lower they are and the newer they are. They branch out more than vegging clones, but that's a good thing in my books. The reason I do it is space, not...

When should I lst for scrog ?

LST doesn't mean you have to do that. I grow largeish plants to keep numbers down, but the way I shape them would work for smaller diameter plants just as well. If you find topping useful then do it by all means. I, personally, think that everything topping does can be done by bending. Bending...

How many do you need? This was a bit too many tbh, but turned out ok. No topping.
