it depends on what you want from the plants. If you are interested in keeping them small size/yield, 4 weeks is good. If you want better yeilds 5-6 weeks is good. If you have the time and space you can veg as long as you want. Edit: my reply is assuming you mean growth from seed to 12/12.

I have 2 fans in the room, plus an air cooled hood. neither pointing directly at the ballast but there is plenty of air movement.

No there is no fan. It is an enclosed unit. I mounted it on the wall, it is a tiny bit cooler. I can put my hand on it for 5 or 6 seconds now. Still not what I expected. I emailed HTGsupply I worry that the one they send me will be exactly the same and then I'll be stuck with shipping...

So I replied to that email about a week and a half ago asking "If you don't want to answer the question about who does the genetics, just say so" I never got a response.

yeah, exactly like mine, pink 400w digital greenhouse. Hot as hell. I mounted mine last night. I'll see how it does tonight but I don't see how putting it up on a wall makes a difference. I don't know if there is an internal fan, it makes no noise, there are no openings to let air in or out.

I don't have it mounted, I'm moving in a month so I just put it on the floor. It is odd that a 600w runs cooler than a 400w. I mean, if a digital runs this hot, how hot are magnetic?

I recently got a digital ballast from HTGsupply. I know digital ballasts are supposed to produce less heat, but mine is burning hot. I can only touch it for 3 or 4 seconds before it starts to burn me and I need to pull my hand away... is that normal?

I'm about 99% sure there is no sun poisoning, cannabis can be growin in 24 hr a day light. also, if you plants are a month-ish old. those rounded leafs are gunna die. They only serve the purpose of jumpstarting the seedling.
