Well still no seeds from HGS. Between Canada's postal system and HGS my order and payment got "lost" somewhere.... Sent a cash payment too so the option of me cancelling the transaction is gone as well. This was defintely a learning experience. :-?

I have been using a 250watt hps from HTG and it works good. But,, I would recommend a 400 watt though if you can afford one. I think I might be harvesting bigger yielding plants if I would have gone with the more wattage. HTG sent my order fast and discreet.

I sent my payment to HGS on Feb17th and it still hasn't even made it to HGS yet. The postal service is slow on both ends it seems. Will keep you updated with my order with HGS as well.

You need to by the right ballast and socket to go with it.

You can use vinigar to bring your ph down... but I wouldn't really recommend it unless you have an acurate ph meter. You could through it to much out of wack easily. I was told though a rough estimate would be 1 drop of vinigar per liter. I have never tried this method so I can't speak...

HTGS rocks! I purchased my HPS gear from them. I was thinking that things would brake in the shipping process but I got my ballast, reflector, socket unit, and bulb from them no problems. They also gave me a free upgrade which was really cool because it was about a 75 dollar value.

From what I have read on this web site anything colder then 65 degrees will make your plant hibernate and grow either very slow or hardly at all. You shouldn't let the temp drop below 60 at all.

I am using almost the exact same set up you are describing, 250 hps, my space is 24 in x 30 in and I am growing two plants no problem. Three would probably be doable but I wouldnt try more than that in that small of a space.

My plants have red in the stems as well. Mostly on the top side of the stem.
