as above! just drill a few holes in your wall and place a grill over them for a passive intake, make sure its atleast twice the size of you out take! so 6 inch out take then drill 6 x 2inch holes. some thing like this...

well 2700k are perfect for flower but really you should have some 6400k for veg, how ever if you carnt afford/find them then you can get by with the 2700k ones, you dont need to change all the 2700 one just have more or half of each for veg then say 80% 2700 for flower.

yes thats more than enough but they should also have a colour temp written on the bulb or box, it will read something like 2700k or 6400 k or another number, it might just say warm white or day white.

yes 20 lights for flower sounds good across the top then with the tubes for side lighting you should do fine, have you got any 2700 kelvin bulbs for flower? if not then i would, even if you only change 10 of them, so 10 2700 and the other 10 6400 k.

sounds good, i used to grow with a 400 and you can pull some nice bud from 1, i used to do 6 white rhinos and pull around the 10 oz mark, i think it was the 6-7 on my first grow, only bit of advice i can give you on the surprising you friends is dont ever tell them you grew it infact dont tell...

i take it your using a normal shade? if so then 12 inches is good! the easiest way to check is put your hand palm down on the top of your plant, if it burns your hand or it gets uncomfortable then move it up, once you think you've got the right height then move it up an inch or two to be sure,

you want the 400 as far away as possable to start off, then move it closer every day so the plants get used to th light, if it was me i would start of with a couple of 20 watt cfl until they grow abit. (5-6 inches) just be carefull with the 400 while the plants are that young

no it will not fit into a normal light socket, you will need the proper socket! also they carnt be plugged directly into the wall, they need a ballast.
