It is fabric which I think is supposed to be kinder for roots. The humidity has been so low I feel like keeping up on watering would have been better in other material though. My house is 23-34% bc the heat is so damn drying. I manage to keep the grow at around 40%.
I don’t feel like she thickened up much in past 8 days. She’s in 2g maybe that’s just the best her roots can support? I plan to put my second one trained similarly in a 5g before flower so I’ll compare eventually.
I don’t know how this sort of ‘criss-cross’ shape will develop as she goes through flower. I’m just going to try to take a pic every week or so. Very simple diary.
Nice! She looks pleased as punch. I’d like to try scrogging as soon as I have a more permanent place to grow. What did you use for your frame/ grid/trellis materials?
I’d like to keep my trim & loose bits from going to waste-so not really on a commercial level. At the moment I’ve got just a few ounces but I foresee it overtaking the freezer soon. I’d rather not go above 500 for a budget.
I’d like to buy a press for extracting but I’ve never even seen one in person. There are a lot of options & I really don’t know what to buy. Is there one experienced folks would recommend for a beginner? Ty
Should I be putting less in each jar or using bigger jars? Is there a rule of thumb on the air to flower ratio in the jar or does it not matter much if the humidity is in a good range? I’ve been burping once a day. Do I keep doing that indefinitely or at some point in curing do you go more time...
Is it true that you get a different energy level highs depending on the percentage of amber trichomes? I feel like if that’s true you should aim for the high you want. Scuttlebutt goes that milky, low amber is a more zippy high than sleepy- but idk really that could be nonsense
I have two I shaped like this. One is in flower already, but this one is still in veg. I think I’ll transplant her into a 5gal, wait a few weeks to see if she opens out a bit, defoliate &/or cut clones, then put her into flower with the netting.
I trained this GDP & another (I put other into flower about 2 wks ago). I’m indecisive as to whether to cut a bunch of clones or to try scrogging or a combo of both. I’ve never scrogged before- are the sites are too close together? Should I transplant & let her get bigger first so I can separate...
I tried again closer on a few different ones dry. Do the hairs burn too smokey or are they not a bad thing? I didn’t take the visible little stems off yet- those at least I know aren’t wanted
I’d like 8 colas that are fairly similar in size & easy to harvest/trim. I feel like the asymmetry isn’t going to give me that result but idk how exactly to get it more even. I’ve never flowered one this shape before so I’m excited to see in any case.
I grow flower but I don’t smoke it (edibles for me). I’d like to know how tightly to trim. This is one where I left I felt a lot of leaves. Do smokers like this or is it too much?
This is a GDP 10 days into flower. Idk what to refer to the training I did to it as. I topped it & tied it down as it grew. Any offshoot that didn’t seem cola worthy I cut off for clones. It’s not as symmetrical as I’d like though- advice on this? This is the second time I defoliated it.
