i trim up 6 inches or so from the bottom in veg so the plants dont waste energy trying to produce all the little bullshit nugs that never get light in the bottom and just piss you off whenr trimming

all my clones do this if i dont start feeding soon enough. not much to worry about its just the plant using up reserved nutrients. start feeding at 1/4 to half strength and then get them going on a good healthy feeding schedule.

i think the main thing is using nutrients and additives that are derived naturally. read the labels on General Organic fertilizers. it says Derived from : alfala meal,cane sugar etc. stoned right now cant think of any other specifics but if you compare to a synthetic nutrient label youl see...

i have no issues with clonex gel in rapid rooters. hopefully your giving those cubes a verrrrry minimal amount of thrivealive. that stuff is a fertilizer aswell its 1-1-1. dont want to be trying to give them nutes while there rooting. Ive found that root tech and clonex are about the same...

it looks like you have over watering issues to me, and probably some toxicity issues. A deficiency will usualy show as a change in color within the leaf foliage. in your case, your leafs are green, but not healthy looking. id flush them good, let them dry out, and then start feeding at half strength

it makes sense to me that you may see salt build up if you ph is off... but i think it would only show up in your soil...If your PH is way off, than youll be locking out certain nutes...therefor the plant will not uptake nute A, resulting in an excess of nute A building up in the soil

you should be able to get a 600 within a foot of your canopy if its cooled properly. i keep my 1000 about 16 inches away without glass'..... the best rule of thumb to use it to hold your hand under the light. you want to be able to hold your hand there for a good 30 seconds or so without it...
