after trying dyna gro im switching back to advanced nutrients 2 part

I think whatever Clown Baby is saying. My bro found a seed in his Blue Dream zip, but I told him most likely to hermie, no jackpot. Unless a male somehow got to it.

after trying dyna gro im switching back to advanced nutrients 2 part

Dyna Gro -VS- Advanced Nutrients - Harvesting Shots The yield was a tie, but he seems to like the quality of Dyna-Gro better (using 1 part formula). Not sure if they were clones though or seeds.

A/C vs. IceBox & Water Chiller

Thanks subcool. :) I just searched "optical illusions" on Google or Bing images to get that.

A/C vs. IceBox & Water Chiller

Thanks BEECH. I do have a Mastercool evap cooler that literally puts out ice cubes from April to early July here in AZ. ;) I just run that and hook up a fan/ carbon filter to one of my 12" upducts.

A/C vs. IceBox & Water Chiller

Yup SOMEBEECH, you hit the nail on the head. My 7 SEER Rheem was put in w/house in 1980. But still going strong, inefficiently though.

Thinking of R.O. water? You may want to think again.

Yeah Dirty Harry, I used to sell water purifiers in the late 80's. It's well water with high nitrates as well (excuse the pun). I'm in Arizona, believe it or not parts of Texas are even worse. Reports of frosting up greenhouse glass from the INSIDE w/scale! The best water I've heard was from...

Thinking of R.O. water? You may want to think again.

LOL, my tap water is well over 1,400 ppm. Do I even need nutes?! Just kidding. I like the Dyna-Gro regimen it seems to be a pretty complete formula (Grow, Bloom, Pro-Tekt, Mag-Pro, K-L-N & Foliage Pro). I think my tap water must have more electrolytes than Gatorade!

A/C vs. IceBox & Water Chiller

I'm using bare bulb vertical in my grow room that's attached to my small house (spare bedroom). I have the grow room vent out of the room into my house w/8" fan and carbon filter + another 8" fan for intake. Those are on speed controllers and always running, exchanging air about every 2 minutes...

    How To: RDWC/UCDWC diy (advanced)

I'd rather get more space if possible. Lollipopping is a last resort IMO. I hate to stress plants much if at all. The only lollypopping I'd do is to remove dead or severely yellowed matter at the bottom. It could shock your plant especially removing green leaves and big green fan leaves at that.

    how should i sprout?

Just soak them for 24 hours in RO or distilled water (or tap water that sat for 24 hours). They should mostly all sink after you "tap" the ones floating after 12 hours or so. After 24 hours you should see a tap root just forming. Then just plant them maybe 1/4" or so pointy side down (tap root...

    How To: RDWC/UCDWC diy (advanced)

Hey sqhydro, you & Heath inspired me to ditch the airstones and also get a DO meter. But Heath noted in his drawing about the 2nd one that you're doing:

The TRUTH behind T5 aquarium lighting.

I think the Solarmax 600 watt bulb requires a 600w S106 ballast. I like to use Phantom & Lumatek ballasts. Plantmax bulbs are supposed to have pretty high output, comparable to Gavita (which I think also needs a prioritized ballast & reflector but was rated at top of heap). I heard a Gavita rep...

The TRUTH behind T5 aquarium lighting.

For me I use a 600 watt MH along w/a 600 watt hps for flowering @ 50 watts/sqft. So that's 24 sq ft. If you use T5's try for 2-400 watts of 6,500K and/or T5s in the blue spectrum. You'd want bulbs in the lower nm range (400-700 nm is what plants like overall). Others here can suggest what bulbs...

Advanced Lighting Spectrums for T5 Floro and LED

I think VHOs aren't worth it unless you have a big priority for penetration (flowering or big veg plants), in that case I'd try HIDs or stick w/T5 HOs. Otherwise T5 HOs rock for veg, especially clones and seedlings.

LED Without LEDs -My First T5 Grow

okthanks2, if the 6500Ks are producing the excellent and better results, then why are you not using them? The test results from your 1st post was on 1/6/2012 (post #2024) and on 1/9/2012 (3 days after the fact) you seem to be using the “inferior” bulbs from room #2 (post # 2164)...

The TRUTH behind T5 aquarium lighting.

I have a question if you're still around okthanks2 or anyone here that can help. I just got 8-GE Starcoat 6500k T5s for an 8 tube fixture and was wondering if I could add the 3000K "red" GE Starcoats and how many? Maybe use 4-6500K + 2-3000K GE Starcoats and 2 ATI Blue Plus? The 6500K GE...

after trying dyna gro im switching back to advanced nutrients 2 part

You know this thread is entertaining. But with properly dialed setups and side by side grows with lighting, strains, different equipment and many other things, decent nutes shouldn't make much differences in comparison. This is quoted from the great Heath Robinson himself: "Contrary to what the...

anyone else kid themselves about the whole legalization game?

I say both: a hobby and a business. The 2 key words are slowly but surely. I'd say most successful business aren't made overnite. Isn't the American dream to like what you're doing for a living?
