you could always plant plants that people won't go near as a deterrent ie. stinging nettles (feels like a bee sting everytime you touch it) or thistles, but if youre talking like a balcony then it would be strange to have these growing, maybe.....stinging nettles has many medicinal properties...

ya i've used peat, and coir, but these seem better (full of nutrients), also its hard to find peat or coir in large sizes, and i have had a few mold problems with peat pots, just don't want soil to be too nitrogen rich from them?

Do you think they would work well? break down in 3-4 weeks, but would also richen up the soil, with mainly nitrogen I guess
