Yeh, so how should I go about flushing my plants to get rid of most of the nutes? Let some water sit out overnight, then let it run through the soil?

Anybody know what's happening? It could be lots of things. I used about half mg and half cheap potting soil. layered. I water them when they start to droop. 24 lighting 4 4' 40wfluorescent tubes the two smaller plants (not pictured) are doing fine(under cfl's)

Can I hook up a 250v ballast to the wall, and run a 400w bulb? I know it wont put out as much as it could, but will it mess the bulb or the ballast up? And can I just spice the wires with any plug pretty much?
