Get a Harvest Every 2 Weeks

With the space available and only 2 mums, do you think one 100W MH Flood light @ +/- 8,000 lumens would be adequate? I might be able to fit 2 of those in there if need be. Again, thanks for your advice!

Get a Harvest Every 2 Weeks

Hey Al, you said it'd take about three weeks to veg up mums with fluoros right? That's what I'm doing but the stems really don't get very thick. I'm using mixed spectrum right now; would you suggest going completely to 2700K fluoros (As MH/HPS isn't a possibility right now)? That'd be closer in...

    Fat Salads Grow Box

Sound pretty good to me. If you could you may want to point your fan at the tops of the plants, sort of in between the lamp and tops. That's what I do and it allows me to get the light very close. I also have the hood vented, so with those two things my tops are actually able to touch the glass...

    Fat Salads Grow Box

Yeah the cold temps can retard growth pretty significantly. They essentially go dormant below 60 degrees from what I've heard. If you keep it in the 70's you should be fine. Even mid to high 60's during lights out should be just fine as well.

    Fat Salads Grow Box

Those temps seem pretty low to me, but I don't know much about Sensi Star. I know that my Satori and Chrystal didn't like it when the temps got down below 60 at all. You may want to turn your can fan off for the last 30 minutes of lights on time to conserve some of that heat, or just get a space...

Flowering Day 5: Satori, Chrystal HPS

I originally bought a scrubber w/fan off of ebay. While on there I noticed that people were selling for "Herb dryers" for like $180+. So I got the scrubber with fan for $50, bought a rubbermaid tote (27 gallon), a roll of screen material, some 1/2" pvc pipe w/elbows and set to work. I measured...

    Where to buy a scale?

Hey thanks for all the replies guys. Think I'll check out office depot; that's less conspicuous than a head shop. The less attention the better. Thanks again! SF

    Where to buy a scale?

Hey just wondering where everyone bought their scales at. I'm in the U.S. by the way and would prefer not to order it over the net. Any major chains in any big cities that carry digital pocket scales for a fair price? Thanks! SF

Cut a couple buds early, how they look?

Why did you wash your bud off? That seems counter-intuitive to me... Just curious, SF

Flowering Day 5: Satori, Chrystal HPS

This is the Chrystal after 54 days flowering. Trichs are all milky with a small portion turning amber. Two more Chrystal to harvest, 3 Satori. Here are the pics. Any guesses on dry yield off this one plant?

Get a Harvest Every 2 Weeks

Of course, you just have to adjust when you take clones and the other variables to match your increased flowering period. Essentially you'd be on a 17 day rotation as opposed to Al's 14-day.

    Light cycle --- please?

Yeah you can change it during veg. I went from 24/0 to 18/6 without any problems. There are a couple of theories on the extra light though. One is that the plants can (and will) utilize 24 hours of constant light. The other theory is that because the plants have been growing outside under 18/6...

Drying Outdoors For Us Who Cant Indoor

My suggestion: big ass tupperware with a carbon scrubber. Put that in your closet and you'll be fine. Unless you're drying more than a lb of oregano at once, you should be fine. You can see the "herb dryer"s on ebay, but u can also just buy/make a scrubber and throw it in a $6 tupperware. Easy...

Get a Harvest Every 2 Weeks

Hey Al, how many CFM's do you have going through your bud dryer? The reason I ask is that I just built one, but am pulling through a carbon filter (much like the ones on Ebay, but homemade for much less) but the fan is only 97cfm (before pulling through the carbon filter), it's probably more...
