Best growing method in 120cm x 120cm area.

Think of this as a challenge, i have experimented with most methods of growing but i want to get other peoples opinions on what is the best method for the following. You have a 120cm x 120cm (roughly 3' x 3') grow area, 600watts of light or equivalent in whatever type (HPS, LED etc). You have...

    Dying Seedlings Again!!!!!!!!!!

I know right!! :) Some grow tents specifically PVC ones had an issue where they expelled a gas when heated killing sensitive plants, cannabis is as it happens sensitive to that said gas. There are other plastics that potentially cause this issue, google it there is lots of info about it.

    Dying Seedlings Again!!!!!!!!!!

Wow mate, great advice / info. Your setup sounds very similar to mine, this crop will obviously be dissapointing due to the bad start to life my they had. What root stimulators do you use? have you ever used fishe blood and bones? Have you ever used grow bags? Although not deep they are...

    lowrider 2 alternate lighting pattern

This is something that i thought about but then really why would it stress the plants? All i would be doing is mini cycles. The massive temp variation would surely do it more harm? IThanks for sharing your opinion with me. Cheers DB

    lowrider 2 alternate lighting pattern

I take it from the lack of response that a) know one tried this? or b) its somehow a dumb question? Either way would love a response Cheers DB:?

    lowrider 2 alternate lighting pattern

Seems quite a dismissive reply. Mother nature wouldn't put a 600 sodium light above a plant either. I think it could be an interesting experiment and would like constructive feed back. 'If your using HID's they take time to spin up to normal operating output.' thats a good point, how much...

    nooooooo gnats!

I had might still have gnats. I searched everywhere and had loads of suggestions, these are what i used. The cheapest control i found was ground cinnamon. Cheap easy to buy and smells nice as well.;-) More expensive was gnat off. Expensive and you have to wash through soil making the soil...

    lowrider 2 alternate lighting pattern

As it says in the post, i am growing LR2s for the first time in soil under a 600 Son t light. I wanted to know if it would be possible for an alternate lighting pattern as the plants are automatic flowering? I plan on having the light on for 1hr 45mins and then off for 15min constanly...

    Dying Seedlings Again!!!!!!!!!!

    Dying Seedlings Again!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers for the advice. Very good news, they have made a 100% recovery, looking fine now although being LR2s i'm sure the end crop will have suffered. But i know for the future. As for the grow bags, they measure 3' x 1' so i'm thinking with 3 in each there will be plenty of root space, and...

    Dying Seedlings Again!!!!!!!!!!

Right. They have perked up nicely and are now growing!!! Not gonna use the manure based compost instead i'm going to plant straight into large grow bags i think that the growbags will be plenty big enough for what i'm growing (lowrider 2). if anyone disagrees would be interested to hear why...

    Dying Seedlings Again!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed on the watering, 'let the roots search!'. Do you guys think if the plants do recover in their 3" post, when i transplant them in to the finishing pots i can use the manure based compost without doing more harm to the roots? I'm not sure if thats what i'll do as not knowing the exact...

    Dying Seedlings Again!!!!!!!!!!

Hello guys. Ok, job done replaced all old soil with new seed specific stuff, have been misting them often to replace any moisture lost by insufficient root system. So far plants look OK, no wilting and no further browning of the leaves so far!
