sucks you didnt catch anything but who really cares when its so majestic to just be out on the water with some good buddies, or in your case sons and just enjoying the water, the trees and all the surroundings and maybe a couple brews and a joint or two too ;-)

Thanks everybody for the kind words, plants are filling in nicely as you can see. I do have the one medijuana that's stacking now but I'm hoping she'll pull out of it? Only reason I planted her was for the seeds, at 15 bucks per seed thru the bank, wow! That's what I originally paid for the white queen seeds and now all my friends have them free of charge.
Planning on going over to my nearby lake in the morning with my son, have to get that skunk out of my mind. (no fish) We'll be trolling for Kings and trout, so I have to mix up some shoepeg corn and scents this evening. Wish me luck!
Here's the Medijuana..

Hodge the plants are looking nice as usual. Are you using any kind of arifical baits for those kings and trout? Take you a couple as back up keep them in you bag with the corn . Good luck on the water you needs none in the garden.Dirrtyd

Thanks Guys, yep it's Folsom in the A.M. Went to Stumpy Meadows the other day and got skunked. Little Brother is at Dorans Beach and wanted me to come over for a crabbin trip (rock crabs) not this time. Little work to do this weekend, then it's Berryessa or New Melones for some koke fishing.
Do miss the salmon fishing, hope they get our area opened back up soon? JJ, you ever fish at the dam Natomas? lol caught some monster fish but what a mad house..

ahhh lucky, i love salmon fishing! Best memory was the first time i went salmon fishing, it was early in the morning and for my first cast i didn't catch a salmon. But instead i hooked a 20inch(ish) Rainbow using a salmon fly. What a monster that beauty was.

I've only watched at Nimbus! What a circus!

I go out of Berekely. I love going out under the Golden Gate early in the morning!

The best Salmon trip I ever went on was during 'Fleet Week'. Crab/Salmon all day, & back to anchor up at Alcrataz for the Blue Angles in the afternoon. Hell of a day!

I hope you have a day like that tomorrow!

Peace

What's up Hodge? Things looking good over there......
Nimbus dam, is that the dam that feeds the American River from Folsom lake? I caught a couple of Salmon from that spot 15-20 years ago, yes it is a MAD HOUSE. Wall to Wall fishermen crazy seen, and when you hook up, good luck, tough landing your catch with all those lines in the water.
Good luck at the fishing hole Hodge...

I lived in the Sacramento area from "87" to "90" went to Sierra College in Rocklin. Also lived on the Delta too....Walnut Grove on the Sacramento River, fun time in my life when I was young, dumb, and full of ... I worked as a bartender at a spot called "Sam's Place", we would party until 2:00am at the bar then off to the "Locks" to fish until morning (or pass out in our chairs). If your from the Delta you know what the "Locks" are.

Hey Guys, Didn't go fishing cause of the rain.
I used to fish for large mouth bass but have since took to trolling for trout, kokenee and kings. Easier for me since I've developed emphysema, don't have to catch anything but it helps with that macho provider man thing we have. lol Wife encourages me to get out and do things, I'm a lucky man!
Caught some nice Chinook Salmon at the Nimbus Dam over the years, for the most part their beat up and only good for smoking. Gave my waders away but still have my smoker. lol. Hoping to get a couple salmon this year, reason kept the smoker.
Not to worry JJ, wife walked in while I was watching the video, had a good laugh when she watched it with me...

Hodgegrown how do you get your plants so full and round without toping, are you tieing down or opening up branchs for light, we have pretty much the same growing metheds but your plants seem a little fuller, how are you doing it.

Hey Knuckles, I just let them grow natural, no topping, tieing, just natural. Bigger the hole the bigger the plant..
Today is a feeding day, two times per week. Temp suppose to hit 100 today, man was it warm all night. Have the fence being put up, Kubota took a dump while using the auger and the boys put the rest of the holes in with the hand operated post hole digger. Too cheap to go to U.S. Rental and get a gas operated unit..lol Will get some pics up today of the progress and the girls.....
Here's what my son brought home..........
