Hey guys this is my 1st grow. I got 2 auto flower seeds and I germinated one and it was successful and I just planted the white widow. I got mg moisture control soil mixed with perlite and I bought 6 13 watt 6500k cfl light bulbs and 3 2700k bulbs.. I heard about the mg rumors but I think its good. i just need some advice because I wanna good grow and smoke.

Sorry to say I have no experience with cfl grows so I have no advice but I just thought I'd say I'll be running a Dinafem Fruit Automatic for my first grow also, should be sweet to see how yours turns out. Mine will be under a Dual spectrum 600w bulb.

make sure you have a feel for the weight of your pots when they are dry.
that moisture control soil absorbs a lot of water and you can over water even easier than normal

i don't know how much water to water in with? i tried to get a 20-30% runoff but it didnt come out the bottom as much, i used almost a gallon to water it and no runoff. o yeah i have a 3-4 gallon pot

Yeah, don't water it. Your soil is going to screw you up on this grow, and the most dangerous thing will be overwatering it. As a seedling, just use a little spray bottle to keep the soil around the seedling's base moist, but not soaking wet. Give it five good sprays every 12 hours, and leave it at that. Once it's got new leaves shooting out, then pay attention to the weight of your pot. Feeling to see if the surface is dry won't work well for you because there's water being held in the soil. My best advice is throw out that soil and get some meant for what you're growing. People can grow in anything, but this is your first grow and you're needlessly complicating it by introducing a soil that a more experienced grower could probably make work, with some trial and error.
