1st grow, is there a problem with this?

Not sure about this, dude, but the fact that the leaves are curling a bit sort of worries me. And I can't quite tell if that leaf in the bottom left is drying out. If so, grab some sharp scissors and take it out close to the stem. Feeding a dying leaf just takes energy from the plant.

Anyone else with more experience wanna put in their $0.02?
yah it worries me to, thanks for the info. i new to go ahead and cut it off just from growing regular house plants. so I already did. lol + rep

okay here is the update. i am getting some curling and it is freaking me OUT! so this is what i have decided to do i am going to run 3 cycles of new phd water through the AG system to get rid of any nutes in there. i have ordered the AN 3 part nutes and i will just leave regular water in the AG until they come. does anybody else have any ideas?

Just my opinion....I would hold off on the nutes for another week or so. My friend you are on the verge of loving this baby to death. lol:weed:

she is now 2 weeks old from the time i put her little seed in the dirt to now. i took all of the water out of the aerogarden and just put plain ph'ed water in there and i will leave it untill my AN nutes come in. i also ordered a ppm meter and a ph meter. are you not proud of me. lol

I was at target yesterday and actually found a couple of those mylar safety blankets yay! so i put one up on the back to cover the brown. once she gets bigger and i raise the lights a bit then i will put it on the sides too. the new growth looks really good. so i may have loved it to death and gave to many nutes. (son fo a B$%ch) lol oh well thats how we learn. the over nuting obviously did not do too much damage cause she is still growing really fast.and not stretching.

okay so after she gets her 6th set of leaves then i pinch the top right?

My thought's EXACTLY RadioJock!..

Girl I think that you are just being over worried and over protective! Don't forget that these things grow in the wild with absolutely NO help from us at all! I think you are just doing WAY to much! And in turn doing the exact opposite of what you mean to do. Feed the nutes and let them be! I seriously water and feed mine only once every 5 to 6 days. (Feed them only every 10 to 12 days). These plants are pretty hardy for the most part. I know it's hard, trust me, I was doing WAY to much in the beginning! But you WILL be doing both your plant and yourself a favor if you just leave them be. The only other time I touch my plant is to LST them, then completely leave them alone for another week or so before water/feed/more LST. (Of course you can look at them in this time, I look at mine probably 8 to 9 times a day. But I leave them alone so they can do what they do! Make sense? That's just what I think anyways, I'm in no way an expert tho, my plant just looked like yours, so I'm telling you what I did and they're looking like champions now! GL tho! I'm loving your grow!

P.S. Have you thought about maybe LSTing along with toping/supercroping/FIMing or whatever you plan on doing. LST is straight AWESOME!

Go to this link real quick http://www.420magazine.com/forums/vegetative-cycle/93286-lst-pics-inside.html and check out the post by "McBudz" LST Mastery right there! Aboslutely AMAZING!

lol, no problem at all! I'm just trying to help, because I was in your exact same situation! I though they needed all this attention, then they actually started doing better when I took a weekend trip away from them... I learned something then, that you just have to let them grow sometimes!

Oh and something I just started with, I don't know if you know about it or are using it, but "SuperThrive" is just awesome! I noticed a change in growth within a day! It's simply stunning! Just something to look into if your interested. Your girls are looking great BTW!

okay all of the new growth looks good, no new leaf curling. the older leaves are not getting any worse since i changed out the water. hey what is the hottest that your res water can get before hurting your plants? ne body know. i can't find anything on the site about water temp.

The best temp. for your water is around 78deg F....So prob not alot higher than that. I have also learned through over nuting while that plant is young and catching it before its to late is that the nodes seem to be very tight....Just my observation. You are doing a very good job and you will be rewarded in the near future. :weed:

got my ph tester today. after i calibrated it i tested my water. never trust those test strips,my ph was 7.8! no wonder my plants were screaming at me. so i lowered it to 5.5 so now we will see what happens. only time will tell.

In the last pic you can see the stalk shedding like a snake (WTF) is that normal?

the stem shedding like that is just a sign of the stem growing. the outter layer just gets to tight and splits open like that when the center swells up and grows fast, its a good thing
