1st Grow ; RoadRunner CFL

I have this single roadrunner that has been above soil for 6 days.
4 23w 5000K(1600 lumens) and 1 55w 2700k(3800 lumens) are about 4-5 inches from plant at a diagonal.
Germinated in jiffy pellet for 3 days then transplanted 5 days ago. I may have had jiffy pellets too wet after it germinated and starting to show first green. I germed 2 seeds but one died. I have since removed it from the jiffy pellet and have it a 3 gallon pot with mix of organic topsoil, 15% vermiculite and 15% perlite.
My grow box is 2x2x4 ft tall and is maintaining 50% humidity and around 82 degrees with a single small fan blowing across bulbs and plant.
Does this look ok for its age????:?, seems to be growing really slow. I am having to learn patience with this new hobby as it is a virtue that I do not possess.
I just keep wanting to water it and mess with it but resist...kinda.
Trying to figure out what I can do to make this weed 'take off' and look like all the other grow journals on here...thanks for any input.

removed it from the jiffy pellet
Did you physically pull it out of the pellet? The pellets are designed to be planted into the soil...and the root system will penetrate into the soil. I.E:

No I just gently removed the cloth web and placed the peat ball in the soil, all very gently. It is growing but maybe that transfer was still a shock?

Maybe a bit of shock. I leave the webbing stuff on. I think she will be fine, couple/few day stunt...wouldn't worry much...keep posting. Sending good vibes your way~

I've got 5 rr 2s going and they are kinda slow also, these roadrunners could just be slow starters. Im expecting a spurt any day now.

I can tell you they do not like cool temps at all. Try getting the temp around 85 to 87 and you may see her perk up and put the cfls as close as u can. If possible hang the cfls horizontal

But no worries, she is doing fine, don't sweat it.

This is day 9 since the plant has been above ground. I have to harvest this plant on Dec 21st as I will be leaving town for a few weeks.
I now realize that this will not be enough time to finish, I had planned it to go for 62 days but this slow growth may has derailed that plan.
I suppose I will keep growing it just for practice to get my lighting and other settings to an acceptable, productive setup.

I suppose I will keep growing it
Yeah, I would keep it going for sure. I am going to bet you will see a growth spurt in a few days--as those true leaves begin to kick photosynthesis in gear.

Yes, I am getting excited and it feels like it really wants to take off.
I think my use of 5000K lights may be my main issue.
Plan on converting to all 2700K lights unless I can find some 6500K lights(so far unable to find these).
Research on this site has shown that the 5000k may not provide correct type of light for photosynthesis, maybe that is why it seems to be struggling.

This Roadrunner is really struggling on day 11. Changed lighting to use more 2700K (replaced some of the 5000k)and just got my hands on some 6500K lights that I will install this evening. I hope this helps.
I am being careful not to overwater, lights are close and have a light fan on them. Leaves are darker green, not yellowing, just looks that way in the pic. Temperatures have been around 86-87 since adding lights, not sure if that is hurting it now. I will give her another week of love I think...if it still looks like this It may be time to try over.

It's slow in veg but it blooms like in 3 weeks tops. You will get something. It's a good strain to grow. I loved it.

You think this will actually flower in 3 weeks?
It is 11 days already so that is another 10 days The next week must hold some real suprises!
I did research this strain before purchase and i thought it would be easy for a noob.

Took a gamble today and may a new lighter mix with 50% perlite/soil with no verm in a solo cup. Transplanted the roadrunner into the cup. When I did this the soil from big pot was super waterlogged ( had not watered in 3 days), the vermiculite was really heavy, almost dripping. I probably tore a few roots in the process, this will hurt her most likely but I that soil would take weeks to dry out. I have 2 other seeds that popped soil just 5 days ago and both are almost as big as the roadrunner using the solo cup light soil mix. So my guess is lights and temp are fine, only difference is soil mix and lack of stress.

Well What I can say is that auto flower plants do NOT like to be transplanted, But even more then not liking that is to be over watered . This holds especially true for roadrunner or road runner #2's .You need to plant auto flower plants in there final containers as early as you can, I just leave space up top for extra soil to be added as it stretches out . Also I dont water it until it looks droopy , Then water it lightly until the soil is lightly saturated. Try to keep the temp around 79-82, In my experience that is what this strain likes. I would also find a fan and put it on it, It will make it stronger overall and will help to dissipate heat. I would not be too awful concerned with the color spectrum of the bulbs your using until your plant starts growing un stunted. 2700k is more red and is used for flowering .. 5-6500k is more adequate for vegetative growth, But you can use either one for both and what lots of people do is mix an equal number of spectrum's to get an all around light color scheme . EX: 2 2700k and 2 6500k lights . make sure you have lots of drainage holes for the water to drain And me myself I like to put the plants in at least three gallon containers, You can get black 3 gallon mop buckets at the dollar store for less then 2 bucks, drill some holes and call it good. I am using 7 gallon containers for my plants right now and I have only had to water them once in 35 days. Hope you get it straightened out , once you do you will see a difference in your plant.
