1st timer here...

Pic update. Can anyone tell me if the red in the new growth is normal? It shouldnt be a temperature problem. its nice and toasty in the box. Also, they seem to be growing quite slowly. do they take off sometime?

the main thing you gotta worry about this stage is your root development. 90% of the growth thats taking place right now is establishing a good root system. Once that happens (the probe root hits the bottom and they start to spread) then you will see improved leaf growth. From what I see I would life the side leaf up and check underneigth it as best as you can and check for tiny black dots if you can with you naked eye. Just gotta make sure your bug free ;). Other then that they look just fine, their doing great as of now. How close is that cfl? You on have one cfl on em?

the cfl has been within an inch of the larger and smaller seedling. my last one popped up overnight while i was sleeping. Im positive theres no bugs on them. I noticed the root was already at the bottom when i transplanted from the yogurt containers to the 4" pots. maybe it needed to go to the bottom og the 4" pot. Yes only 1 cfl for now. its a 45 watt (200 watt equivilant). Im going to get a Y splitter this payday and throw another on in there. its looks like the cold damage from the original seedling is getting greener everyday in the stalk (where the red used to be) that makes me happy! by this friday i should have another CFL on them.

Mr Groundhog declared 6 more weeks of winter out here :finger: fucking groundhog. oh well, im thinking of going to get a water heater blanket to put around the exterior of my grow box until it warms up to give that a try. With the third seedling up its hard to fit them all under the one CFL. if they were in my bigger box then they would have 2 CFL's and a 100 watt MH. But when the lights are off i cant keep the temp up!?

plants look beautifull!!

thanks guy. I asked my buddy the strains. hes sure at least 1 is kush possibly 2. the other one i cant remember what is was but its different for sure. just by looking at the starter leaves i can tell. they are thinner, lighter green in colour, and they opened up as soon as they left the dirt. i will post a pic later. looks kind of runtish to me.

make sure when you transplant you dont do it when you see just one root, thats a probe. Make sure you give it time to expand, pre-transplanting isnt technically bad, just lengthens the process. How long of a veg you planning to give?

im going by size? not by time. my friend said that they will grow another 2/3 in size during flower. the reason for transplanting was because they were in tiny little single serving yogurt containers. they wont be transplanted for a couple weeks at least now. I guess i will have to see how they are all doing in a week or two.

Having a little problem here, maybe someone can help me fix it before it gets worse? I notice on my big plant that the edges look burned possibly? Ive circled the areas with paint not that they are hard to notice. Its only on the one leaf. Ive been looking for bug but i dont see anything. Would they not be noticeable in my pictures?

make sure ur not overwatering...but i still think they look good, something that happends to me often is when i water my plants the plant leafs get into the wet soil and when its under the light it can burn form the nutes in the soil, but i use a 1000W HPS i dont know if CFL does that too.

yeah i cant figure out the problem. im not sure of the PH level. I cant find a store in my city that sells one so far. I went to canadian tire and walmart looking for splitters for the bulbs but they dont have them. im going to try rona this weekend. its too late to go right now.

I notice under the shelf in my box gets really wet so im thinking it could be a humidity problem? im positive its almost 100% humid in there. Im going to try drilling a couple holes in the box to let more air in.

I added the holes in the box. Just a few 1/4" ones. I also threw a second fan in the compartment that was getting soaked with humidity. Humidity is between 40-50% now. Temperature is steady at 35 degrees celcius. Im not sure if this is too hot. Either way plants look happier already!

WOOT! LOOKIT MY BABY GO! The bigger one took off im guessing. Starting to see faster growth. VERY NICE! The other 2 look good too! I threw a temp gauge in the box and its at about 35 degrees celcius. Im thinking that was the reasoning for the burning maybe? too close? didnt feel hot to the hand, i dunno maybe my plants are more sensative then my hand is? Anyways have a looksy!

***EDIT*** Im going tog o pick up some molasses tomorrow to give to the bigger one now. Im also going to go look for a PHmeter. Ive also been to quite a few places for the bulb splitter but came up with nothing so far, I will continue the hunt however!

Got the splitter, added second fan in top portion of box. im a little worried about the splitter. the bulbs are less then an inch from the walls of the structure. im going to run it an hour and go check it to see how hot the sides are getting.

I also added some more holes for ventilation in the side lower portion of the box to try to cool it down.

Heres a picture!
