I’ll stay in-ground with no cover for the third year in a row and see what happens. Last year I had relatively little rot on the eight big Tirah despite the extra wet fall, and got nearly 100% of the crop in. I credit that to the plants being stretchy airy things and also that I had no problems with caterpillars on them whatsoever.

My much denser Hawaiian Hashbud x Balkh female OTOH was a pain in the ass. I fought rot on her for a month before chopping on October 11, would have liked to let her go a couple more weeks but it wasn’t in the cards.

Will be running some combo of Afghan strains this year, all of which look dense in the pics so wish me luck in my continued defiance of Mother Nature lol
Strain selection is important, and I think you're on to something with the landrace strains ... if the strain has been grown for generations in a similar climate it'll stand a much better chance ... too many of us are trying to grow strains that've been exclusively grown indoors under controlled conditions and have never seen the actual sun, or actual weather

Sea of green,Looks like my B.yard minus some sunflowers for cover,I'd like a Ghouse also, but it would cause too much interest from the hood if I built a huge Ghouse(though the thought has crossed my mind plenty of times),I'm not rural enough, the amt. of weight I pull out of my spot, considering the surroundings is MAXED out and even makes me nervous, when everything is done it's a huge relief.
Iam in the boonies everyone grows nobody is counting

Does anyone by chance, <long shot> happen to have access to Dragon Weed of '79 grown by Mr Hatfield in S. Deerfield, MA? Was still around in the late 80's... put me in college....

I'm way over the legal count,I usually have over 200 clones,I've been under the radar for years and don't want to stir up interest w/a greenhouse build, the cons are I'm not in the country, the pros are I've got enough population around where the weed isn't completely worthless

Yup. I’m heavily involved in my local government, and our cops are far more interested in bagging heroin and fentanyl merchants than they are in enforcing weed plant limits that carry little penalty.
I sure hope so same here fent is raging here leading to lots of other crime, as long as you dont get caught moving pounds pretty safe here. Its funny when someone gets busted now they call it black market pot LOL

I am so mad at Insane Seeds. Twice I ordered from them and twice had a problem. First time they had seeds listed as fem, they were reg. Offered to replace but I had to spend money to send back and for them to ship again. This time I got a deal. They were originally 150 on sale for 98. Got them and was not informed they could not take over the phone payments at the moment, so I had to re-order. The price was back to 150 when I re-ordered and they wouldn't even honor my first purchase and give me that price instead of the 150. There customer service sucks.
I did receive the Insane Seeds order again for the second time out of 2. Not saying they will screw you and take your money and not give you what you paid for. Your seeds will most likely come if you order from them. Both times I was gifted some pretty good freebies too, Last order I was given 3 Anaphylaxis (Peanut Butter Breath x Deadly Sativa) and 3 Grape Pupil V2's by Mass Medical (Star Pupil x PuTang) for free on a $150 dollar order for 10 Regular Rainbow Chip F2's by Exotic Genetix. This time was gifted 3 Sugar Puss by Exotic Genetix (Cheetah Piss x Bakers Dozen) and 4 Regular Thug Roze by Ethos Genetics (Roze Zkittlez x Lilac Diesel) on a $120 order of Exotic Genetix Cherry Cosmo (Red Pop x Bakers Dozen). They do send all the seeds they offer and they are all legit in the breeder packs sealed. There customer service just really sucks lol

Start about middle-end of April indoors and you will have a nice mature healthy plant to be transplanted outside when the weather is cooperating in the middle-end of May. Plus, you won't have to pace back and forth every day for a month in anticipation to start your grow lol You get an extra month of indoor growing to get them nice and ready for the outdoor life. You could even start a little earlier indoors if you have some indoor lighting and get some monsters going. By the time they get to flowering outdoors they will be giants.

And yeah, I really don't worry about cops anymore with weed. Even growing outdoors. I grew right in my yard last year and not one person bothered me, said anything, or attempted to steal anything. I even had the cops come to the house a few times throughout the summer and there is no way in hell they did not see the huge pot plants growing 50 feet from them lol Didn't say a word or give me an ounce of trouble. Will be doing the same again this year. I feel like it become a problem when you make it a problem. If you are going out of your way to hide it, it looks suspicious. If it is out in the open and you're not hurting anyone or going overboard with it, I believe you are less likely to be harassed about it. They have a lot better things to be doing than busting your balls for a few personal use pot plants in your yard. If you know what you are doing and grow some beauties, I believe most cops would admire it rather than bust your balls for it lol I have had neighbors see me pruning my plant while it was fully flowered and tell me that is one of the most beautiful plants she has ever seen lol

I don't have a heated indoor space to start in, so... it's going to have to wait a few more weeks regardless. Also after the last few seasons I'd prefer to put 'em outside as close to June 1st as I can. Heck I'm sorta tempted to not even start some things until early June this year.

I need to figure my shit out anyway, thinking about making some big changes that could throw my entire summer plan into disarray. Still need more data before I can make any kind of decision.

Feels good to start getting the wheels turning on another season. Has anyone used the cannabis seed bank of maine before? Wondering if they only sell to those with a medical card. Could also absolutely call them up and get the answer myself but wondering if anyone has experience with any of their strains. Looking for a strain with high cbd levels and low/no thc? I've leaning towards trying out a couple autoflowers as well given last years experience.

Lastly, and perhaps most exciting - Last year I had a feminized plant in a pot on my back deck that I trimmed the colas off of and then just left it and didn't really think about again. Note I didn't chop it down, just left it in the pot. Guess what? Just found I have a new sprout in the pot. Anyone else ever experience this before or have these plants become perennials and I just didn't know it (lol)

Congrats, she's a mamma!

Obviously she was fertilized, by herself or something else. I did a repro project last summer in a tent and had stray beans sprouting here and there (including one in a bit of spilled media on the floor of the tent). I haven't found any seeds so I don't think any of my outdoor plants got seeded last year. Beans want to live!

All were males here. But amazingly determined bastards.

And we’re off! Rustam Kush and Sholgar seeds from Baaba Qo Selections about 36 hours in, showing respectable germination so far.

You could try cool beans seedbank. So far their customer service has been nothing but Stellar. They may have what you are looking for. And they hook you up with lots or freebies.

They don't call it weed for nothing!!!! It may have revegged on its own and shot up a new stem!
I'm blown away at how resilient these plants are. Seen some crazy weather conditions in other growers pics and brutal stress testing.

Does anyone have an experience with running OG clones in New England? I would imagine the dense buds just wouldn’t work here but was curious. Tahoe cut..

I wasn't feeling too hopeful for this summer based on earlier Farmers Almanac predictions, but they've shifted away from more of last summer toward slightly less precip and warmer? Maybe cool in September though.

Obviously longterm forecasts are subject to change, but I'm all for hoping for something better than last year.
