They have.

Some have been "less evil" than others, but pretty much the one currently in office is the worst one, because he combines all the self granted powers of his predecessors.

My favorite President was Calvin Coolidge. I like the name Calvin. Grover Cleveland seems alright too. I think Jimmy Carter's heart is in the right place, but unfortunately his head was someplace else. Okay all the rest sucked.

Johnson comes to mind when it comes to civil rights.

I soo glad we don't have a military draft any longer. I shiver at the thought of some of you cowards having my back in a firefight!......what a bunch of ungrateful cowards......won't even appreciate what others are willing to do for you..........
I shiver when it's cold and I just got out of the shower. I'm willing to leave others alone and think that's the right thing to do.

I met some guys from Cambodia once a long time ago....they thought I had their back pretty good. You assume much about what others have done or would do in a given situation. Peace.

He was a thief, but most of them were.

All people should have the same rights, the right to self determination and the right to be left alone. Forced civil rights sometimes violate those rights as they threaten people that want to be left alone and do not want to associate. Johnson was a government expander and willing to use force to do it. Plus he had a big nose.

JAYYYSUS, no one is taking your guns away.
HAHA! I knew you'd like that. It doesn't have to be guns, it's all freedoms.

Can't smoke weed, too dangerous. But, if you want to learn how to dismantle bombs or stand in a field to draw enemy fire...they have a low paying job for you.

As long as you are looking for a saint rather than a president, you are never going to like any of them. He still did as much for civil rights as any modern president - he "fought" for people, which was what I said in my other post.

I don't see anywhere in the constitution that says you have the right to smoke pot.

Who cares if he is or not...

It would make his arguments no less or more valid just like you're a veteran and that doesn't mean that you know shit from shinola.

Stop polishing your boots with shit.
The problem here is that I don't know what shinola is, and if I don't know what shinola is, then it may be that I can't tell the difference between it and shit.

I've never once mentioned the constitution. I've been using the word 'freedoms'.

We were once free to smoke pot, now were not...see how that works?

we were once free to own people, beat schoolchildren, and die at the ripe old age of 37.

and i'm free to smoke pot here even without a card. they'd have to go after a jaywalker before bothering me about it.

are you free to jaywalk without worry of retribution?

The constitution doesn't confer rights. The constitution is SUPPOSED to be the leash on the dog.
Anyone that tells you that in order for something to be a right is has to be in the constitution is WRONG!

Amendment X The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
