3rd Grow, 1000 watt HPS. One Pound or Bust

Took another two clones today, Am going to switch to a cfl setup now that I know they will root, the leaves on the ones that have been in there rooting for almost two weeks are burned. I planted one in soil today, I hope new growth will come out of the burned clone.

Was going to switch to flowering tommorow but due to a light mishap they were on an extra hour today so I want to wait another day or few days before switching.

I have a $100 or so budget to get anything else needed for this grow.

I'm debating getting a Hortilus 1000 watt eye bulb or using it to get a few different products to try or rooting gel etc.

Will the bulb increase my yield substantially. The one I'm using now is a phillips 1000 watt bulb and it probably has a full grow on it.

Do you have any Roots Excelurator, taht is suppose to be the shit. It is a product that no grdner should go without. I myself am saving foro this product, helps to clone and give big white roots

Hygrozyme is a companion product, sort of it helps to break down dead root mass and the bennies can feed upon and help feed the new roots and plants.

Liquid Karma is also another to have.

All 3 I do not have at this time, but am saving for.

Day 66 Veg. Would really like to switch to flower tommorow or the next day so I want some advice before I do.

Should I use bud blood? Will it increase my yield or if I allow the stretch will that increase my yield more?

Should I flush before flower or feed a strong bloom dose when I switch to flower?



I am absolutely impressed with the big devil autos. They are growing incredibly fast. The biggest one is already 17 inches. three of the big devils are all flowering and have been shooting out little pistols for about a week. One of the easy ryders is starting but the other hasn't yet.


My plants range from 16-26 inches tall and some of them are up to 24-30 inches wide.

Everything is going well. I've removed my cloner. The one clone that rooted died. I transplanted it to a small soil container and had it in the tent overnight until I set up my temporary cloning box and the soil dried out before I got home from work.

It's an experiment so I don't really mind. I'm also likely going to start some of my freebies soon and add them when the autos finish so I will h ave a staggered harvest and hopefully the beginning of a perpetual.

Can you rotate your pics. before uploading to your computer???

Either you can do it from your camera after taking pictures, or after you have uploaded the pics. to your hard drive, just right click and you should have a rotate option when using your (windows fax and picture viewer) program. Or probably any p[rogram you use if you do any editing, but when using the viewer it allows you to rotate and keep that way.

Then upload your pictures to RIU.

Tommorow will be the official switch. I will be turning the lights off for 12 hours at 8 am in the morning. I trimmed the tallest one a little and exposed tons of side shoots. It's gonna be a monster...

Decided not to use bud blood because for some reason it went purplish black and is really moist in stead of being red...

So I slammed the ladies with a strong feeding of :

1 ml/gallon of Floramicro

11 ml gallon Iguana Juice. This is about 3/4 of the full dose recomendation.



Also wondering if I should still be feeding more nitrogen. I'm only putting the 1 ml a gallon so they can get a little but I don't know when to cut it off.

Also theres a fan leaf on the tallest LST plant that is 14 inches long....This strain has massive leaves....

No more Nitrogen this late in Flowering, you are almost done, and the plant should be yellowing from using up all the Nitrogen that is left in the soil. If not then you will have to give a major flush at the end to wash it all out before harvest.

Ummmm I'm starting flower tommorow, it is day 68 veg today...

Yeah, in that case, Nitrogen can still be used.

Just caught an all organic tea recipe for this specific phase, going from veg. to bloom.

GH Bio Weed (.2-0-.3): 1/2 - 1 tsp per 1 gallon water
SL Peruvian Seabird Guano (10-10-2): 2-3 Tbl per gallon (large plants), 1 Tbl per gallon (small plants)
AN Bud Candy: 2ml/ liter, or Molasses: 1 Tbl per gallon

He also listed Tarantula ans Piranha for his microbes for the brew. I have MycroGrow Soluble from fungi.com which I personally would use instead, adding at the last hour of brew, his AN products were probably mixed at the beggining with the rest.

Then brew for 36-48 hrs. NO pH up or down give as is.

Good amounts of nitrogen at first as you can see by the organic tea recipe, and reduce to zero around week 6 when flushing begins, if you flush,and or so the plant can use up the last of all the nutes. If need to add a bit towards the end try Cal-Mag+ which has 2-0-0 nitrogen.

Sorry I'm confusing you. I have 5 that were vegged for 68 days and 5 autos that are like 25 days from seed so unfortunately they will be spending the rest of there life on 12/12 but they are all a foot atleast already. I might throw one or two outside.

I hear that the last week or two with the auto's under 12/12 are not that bad of an idea, it helps to fatten them up a bit.

I'm going to try that with my little project that I have going on. So maybe try to find a supplemental light for a few more weeks when your others go into darkness and then just keep them on 12/12 for the last week or 2. Just a thought

400 watt mh bulbs work on hps ballasts's im doing it right now for my strains

Just awoke the ladies from there first 12 hour nap. They were very perky when I awoke them. It looks like I might achieve my goal of a pound as they are huge already. The biggest lady is so big she has tsome long back shoots that aren't really getting light so I'm not sure what to do. I could just take it as another clone.

Anyways heres some pics.

Will be using mostly iguana juice throughout bloom. I have to order some ona block and am going to pick up some grow bags while I'm at it. Any bloom boosters that are relatively cheap, I'm willign to give them a try. Any ideas.

Like Kanx said, definitely go with the timer. Hit up home depot or lowes, should be able to find one for $10 or less, and it will give you peace of mind. Looks sweet so far!!!
