Hey nice Ottawa -- if I do move to CO, it will most likely be to Denver -- because that's where the jobs for me are and it's also close enough to family to visit regularly but not close enough they'll be dropping in unexpectedly Plus even tho I'm too cheap to pay for the games I like to live in an NFL city lived in dallas without ever going because the cheapest tickets were > $300. Cold and snow doesn't bother me but my wife's from a tropical climate where getting into the 70s was cool for them... so even though she says she would move to colorado and adjust, not sure how well it would actually work

Denver is big enough but not too big (don't like big cities).. and it has Colorado Springs nearby so I could bounce back and forth between there and the other cities (suburbs, Boulder, Cheyenne, even Albuquerque or however you spell it, etc)

Weather in Colorado seems almost tropic when compared to most parts of Canada the cold isn't that cold and the summers are nice but not too hot

Plus it helps that they are progressive on certain issues near and dear to my heart

Yup I got an IT job so gotta go where the jobs are. Co Springs is nice and I have family there but just not the # of jobs in my field there and I bet Denver pays better. Better weather in Co Springs from what I hear... and fucking dispensaries on every street... there's one within walking distance from where my sister lives and probably half a dozen within 2-3 miles. It's crazy. I got someone with a med card to hook me up when I was there last and it was some pretty decent stuff but very indica and put you out.. I think that's what the person I got it from was looking for tho

If any state manages to pass legalization this november (i believe both WA and CO gonna have referendums) I'm definitely moving there.

They Call me House Plant... I never leave... got runners going to do all my runs for me....

I am so impatient... not seeing a lot of progress... probably my fault. got a little margin burn from the pure blend on some of the plants but nothing crazy... a couple of them when you look at them in normal light look fine but looking under the MH look like they're not healthy to me... and i'm not sure what's up with this a13 #2 is it just a light green pheno and not dark green like the other one or is it just having a problem keeping it from being green. It seems kind of flimsy and runty compared to the other one which is just the healthiest of the bunch still. The smell of the medicine man is becoming noticable when standing over them... if you put your nose to them and smell you can definitely smell the weed... smelling the apollo 13s there is just almost no smell at all. Smells good though. OGK just keeps trying to push through. I am thinking pretty soon I am going to go ahead and transplant them into 6" pots surrounded by the roots/light warrior mix i have outside. I think both the roots and the deeper pots will help them retain water better under that 400w.

OGK #2 has spread petioles and is in the cab in the corner to the side of the light (not directly under). Going to have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't dry out too fast since it's in a small cup. Other seeds still under the soil, but they were planted almost a day later too.

Pretty. I'm impatient too but sometimes just waiting is the best thing to do

Just watered - went back to what they seemed to be responding to best before, which was watering with the spray mister until the water starts to drip from the bottom. The water in my bottle from before was already at 6.8 so it was just right. I'm not sure what the deal with light warrior, maybe it is not meant for a normal potted soil grow? OG Kush #2 that went under the light last night (in the new heavier mix I made using light warrior with added castings and coir) feels like it is still almost as moist as when I put it in. It weighs more this morning in a 9oz cup of moist soil than the plants in the 16oz did. It weighs almost as much as them when they are watered thoroughly. I think it straight light warrior must be meant for some kind of drip/spray irrigation. I am definitely going to transplant them into 6" pots with my roots/light warrior 50-50 mix when I get a chance except for the little ones.

Apollo 13 #1 - She just keeps chugging and thriving - I *REALLY* hope she is a female because every stress the others have had she has shrugged off. She is short and compact so hopefully a female. Should know in about 2 weeks I think as the staman (if i remember right that that's what they're called) are starting to separate from the stem.. next step, preflowers. Also have to decide at what height I want to FIM her.

Don't know if it's a different pheno or a problem. She was looking fine before watering and as soon as I watered her she got real droopy (like within minutes) - Still she is putting out side branches I hadn't noticed before



Medicine Man #1 - Second in healthiness only to A13#1 - despite her rough looking lockout leaves from before. Side branches growing out now



Medicine Man #2 - This one is definitely having nutrient lockout issues I'm not sure what's going on with her. But looks worse today than yesterday for sure. Could be nute burn from pure blend they had a couple days back. Hoping if that's the case the watering will help balance out the soil..



OG Kush #1 - She keeps trying.... and I guess there's no rush until her sis catches up with her... but if she doesn't start recovering better by then I may just have to put the poor thing out of her misery... she won't even be clone worthy unless she gets a lot healthier than this



OG Kush #2 - Looking beautiful so far - appears to be thriving in the updated seedling mix I made. She had just split her leaves and started opening last night and now she already has her first pair growing after one night... and the soil is retaining water well unlike the mix the other plants are in. She is in a 9oz cup that is more wide than tall, kind of like a wide peat pellet or rapid rooter... so I think she'll get a nice little root ball going before I transplant her into something bigger. Hoping to not make the mistakes with her that have her sister on the verge of being culled. Notice the soil is still moist but it has been under the 400w light since last night and I didn't give her any today.

I think you should consider transplanting your A13s and MMs soon. Whenever you do I highly recommend giving them some tea and perhaps some superthrive. Since you're 50/50 with RO and LW, I would think you could easily get away with giving them proper doses of nutrients without worrying about lockout. I'm spray watering/feeding strictly from this point forward as well. The one time I didn't I just poured water straight in and the soil got compacted quite a bit.

I am going to be transplanting them probably today or tomorrow.. whenever I can get by the hydro store to get pots. They are not rootbound, but I don't think they are going to stretch much taller or wider without a bigger pot to stretch their legs in. They have been getting superthrive almost every watering the last week since I discovered the roots were a bit underdeveloped. I'm not 50/50 RO & LW yet -- they are pretty much in pure light warrior right now. They are going to get repotted into RO/LW when they move into the new home. I'm going to wait until they stretch roots into the new soil and see how they respond before I give them any ferts... the two runtier/unhealthier ones did not like the pure blend which is 1-0-1 and had fringe burn on the leaves. The healthy girls can't really see a positive or negative change. I'm probably going to get a pump mister at the hydro store too when i get the pops as it's a bit annoying with the amount of time it takes to water with the hand mister just in 16oz cups can't imagine in bigger ones

Anti bottom fed all his plants in soil but wasn't using organic. That's how I've been feeding in coco but again not organic. Bottom watering is a lot easier and faster than spraying though

Bummer hydro store's closed til tuesday so guess i won't be transplanting til then! Wondering if I should use pure roots or the light warrior/roots mix. The roots has been sitting for over 2 weeks and the last bag I opened was pretty moist, so it should be pretty well cooked I'm assuming I didn't get it the day after it came out of wherever they make it

Mine are in 8:2:2 RO:LW:EWC and seem to be loving it. Very good drainage but not too airy. I'm not sure if they put the manufacture date on the bags but if you watch Subcool's show on YouTube he's been relaying that the current RO mix is very hot; but he lives in Oregon so he's getting it almost immediately. I think anywhere east of the Rockies and you're dealing with stock that has had time to mature.

On the bright side my ozone generator is coming today -- it actually shipped from across town, went all the way to houston and came back. Fed ex is not as efficient as I thought.... they sent the package an extra 300+ miles just to get it less than 30 miles down the road.

It came in and it's pretty strong no question about it... definitely will do the trick. Other than moving my plants around I didn't really pay much attention to'em yesterday -- needed a break. Today I gotta check'em I think the big girls need water and some of the smaller ones may. I gotta start thinking about the next few to flower -- besides the ozone generator I also ordered the 3 next bigger 4+ gallon airpots and 3 of the 1.2 gallon.. basically the next size up from both pots I have. Figured I may have a plant or two that needs it and I've got space if I'm only at 3 plants in the cabinet per flower maybe 4 if one is in a smaller airpot like the og kushes. So will be putting the next batch into big pots hopefully soon. Clones still look like the day I cut them but no roots peeking through the rooters yet. Not sure what I'm going to do with the extra rooted clones.... I really only need one plant per strain for round 3.

Shoulda done this sooner.. with the airpots it's REAL easy and fast. Paper clip on on end into a hole of the airpot - easy peasy. I'm thinking about LSTing ogk #2 before flower when the big pots come in. It looks like the other medicine man may actually be female.

On the downside, apollo #3 I judged to be male. Damn those are some good genetics. I topped all the growth shoots, quick dried and smoked and even off the male I could feel it. The apollos are definitely the potent plants of this batch. Haven't felt anything similar with tips on other plants yet.

Young plants all looking good under the LEDs - med man I has curled leaves like too much N but I'm gonna guess it's more that it's too close to the LED so I moved it up a bit as it was very close to the tallest plants. White Russian I'm no backing off on saying female it could still be male... g13xhp starting to see preflowers and not sure but could be male... a13 #3 was male. other plants too young... want to find out soon so I can up pot them to the big pots next week for flowering.

Romulans look good. The two healthiest are putting out new growth now that is green and healthy. The least healthy one I trimmed the two really unhealthy fan leaves off and they don't look too bad outside that tho definitely stressed a bit. It actually fell over and spilled contents everywhere. The coco mass was still very firm and roots were just like when I first planted them. I tried to break the ball up a bit more and put everything back and watered with superthrive, earthjuice catalyst and a half dose or so of
grow ferts so it could get some N into those slightly yellowed leaves.

I picked up earthjuice catalyst and have started adding it to feedings and waterings if the plants look like they may need micros. it's pretty much kelp and molasses.

Clones look as good as the day I took them still 5+ days later... they are trying to grow a little bit (leaves getting bigger and growth shoots progressing) - don't see any roots poking out yet which has me a bit worried.

Yikes I guess I forgot to feed the OG Kush... she wilted overnight. Oops. Watered her this morning and she was already coming back. She had even started greening back up from whatever was going on with her, now I probably set her back again. That plant is just nothing but troubles. Not hardy at all. Her and sis are going in bigger pots next week with either one of the teen plants or med man #2, which i am still not sure if it's female or male... i already started 12/12 on it though and it'll just get transplanted in early flower if it's female.

I just put in an offer on 5 x 240w blackstar flower lights. I was thinking about 1 x 900w blackstar or 2 x 500w blackstar and got to looking at the 240s and figured out i have room for 5 evenly spaced over the canopy which would come out to 400 x 3w LEDS = 1200w or nearly 800w power draw - theoretically it should produce more light than a 600w HID. Because the 5 lights would be evenly spaced out, intensity would be even throughout the canopy (a big issue with LEDs) and each plant would be getting light from 2-3 blackstars. They are 15" long and 8" wide. 8" x 5 = 40" so there'll be about 1" between lights and the side walls of the cab. About 2" between the back of the cab and doors and the lights. I can get rid of the ventilation ducting completely and put the lights as high as 5' up almost if needed (i'm running out of vertical space already if plants stretch much more). Could probably also move to smaller fans instead of a big one.
