you can make a grow box that size for cheap by buying 1 at uhaul or some place like that. i have a 23"x23"x27" box i use for my veg plants, when the light is off in my closet.

Well i could buy a replacement door and install a 6 inch dryer vent in there. And just keep the other door for when i move.

thats what i planned on doing. i kinda did it backwards lol. i needed a vent and the hollow door sounded good at the time. would rather have it threw the dry wall, so i dont pull the ducting every time i open then door.

is that the tent you bought already? that is the same size as the grand wardrobe box, i mean $13 vs $108. but im still not sure about shoving the a HPS in the cardboard box, LoL. why cant you just use the closet?

thats what i use for my veg/clone/drying box redrum and a grand wardrobe for my flowering.

yea a hps in a cardboard box dont sound to good. i think im going to order a couple 100 watt cfl's for my box. 2 per box should do good, at 50 watts per square foot.

Go and buy a door that fits the opening and cut your vents into it.
When you move, put the good door back on.
A hollow core door with no frame shouldn't be more then $50 bucks but can be as cheap as 10 or 15 bucks if it ios already damaged.
(scratch and dent)

Venting problem solved.

Craigslist sometimes has cheap or free doors in my area. How about removing the door and put a peice on plywood at the top opening and then some visqueen and a zipper door. < see links. I guess after you add all this up it might be better to go the door route. Just providing options :)

the 420 party went great, drank from the kegerator and lost count on how many joints i rolled. The plans is to clean out the closet this week and assemble my parts to make this into a grow closet.
I figured i can do that and get everything setup and pick up the door after the rest is done.

I will take lots of setup pictures as im putting it together.

to be clear

scrubber>ducting>cool tube>ducting>inline fan>vent hole

Would it be a good idea to mount the fan to the door and just duct over to it?

i would duct it to the door, little bit less noise. i have my fan attached to my filter. but i also dont have my ducting hooked up threw my hood right now either.

yeah good point the vibration would drive me nuts.

Would you place the vent up high or down low? Im thinking of placing it high on the door so i can work under them instead of having shit possibly fall on it.
I will be putting a green light bulb in the closet so i can work at night without messing with photosynthesis.

when my fan/filter came in. i pulled everything out of my closet, and started from the top putting it back together. allot easier to hang fan/filter without the light in the way. i use rope and pullys to raise and lower my light.

yeah i want to hang the light after the fan and scrubber are in place. I bought some rope ratchet thingies to raise and lower the cool tube.

I need to buy a box fan to go in there. as well as a oscillating fan for stem development. I'm planning to get some construction plastic and staple it to the tack strip inside the closet to protect that area from water as much as possible. its got carpet in there. so the plans are to take everything out of the closet. unpack and assemble everything and install it in the closet. I hope to get that done this week. I will start tomorrow morning and bust it out.

i threw a fan on my little ones today. they have a tiny vibration which is exactly what i look for. helps the stem development. Soil is slower than hydro big time. but i hope its worth the wait
