Any way you want to slice it.... Palin is capable of smashing through any democrat opponent.

That's why they keep attacking her.... even after they won all the marbles....the dem machine knows she's a formidable threat.

So if she's an airhead (I doubt it), that makes the Dem's what????

Quite the statement to make in support of a candidate who already declared she wasn't running for anymore elected offices... ya know, after she quit her other job as an elected official...

OK, let's get something straight here once and for all: Palin DID resign her post as governor, but what was the reason? The Progressives kept filing stupid, nonsensical lawsuits against her. I think there were 15 all together ... and she defeated every one of them. These lawsuits were costing the citizens of Alaska millions of dollars and put the Palin family over 500,000 in legal fee debt. Why were the lawsuits filed? Because the Progressives see in Sarah Palin the opponent that can defeat them because she, and the ideas she represents, are a threat to the Progressive agenda. Remember, she was elected governor of Alaska based upon her promise of ending corruption in the Good-Old-Boy network in Alaska. She was elected on that promise, and as soon as she took office, she started firing REPUBLICANS! This is a threat to the Progressives in the Republican Party for sure ... and even a larger threat to Progressives in the Democrat Party.

Palin is a threat to those who would ensure the future economic enslavement of your children and grandchildren for their own quest and lust for control and power over our lives. In stead of denigrating Palin, you/we should be admiring and supporting her.

one source states the following:

The Alaska Legislature voted last month to investigate allegations that Palin dismissed the state's public safety commissioner after the official resisted pressure to fire a state trooper involved in a contentious divorce from Palin's sister.

The Legislature has hired a former district attorney to investigate the case and asked him to issue a report by Oct. 31, just before the Nov. 4 general election, state Senator Hollis French said in an interview.
The vote by the Legislative Council to authorize the probe was unanimous, said French, a Democrat from West Anchorage. The council conducts state business when the Legislature isn't in formal session.
Palin fired the public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, on July 11. Several days later, Monegan said he had been pressured by members of Palin's administration and family to fire state trooper Mike Wooten, according to the Anchorage Daily News.
French said it ``remains to be seen'' whether the investigation embarrasses Palin. The important issue, he said, will be whether evidence emerges that ties Palin directly to efforts to pressure Monegan.

Monegan, 57, a respected former chief of the Anchorage Police Department, said in an interview with The Washington Post's James V. Grimaldi on Friday that the governor repeatedly brought up the topic of her ex-brother-in-law, Michael Wooten, after Monegan became the state's commissioner of public safety in December 2006. Palin's husband, Todd, met with Monegan and presented a dossier of information about Wooten, who was going through a bitter custody battle with Palin's sister, Molly. Monegan also said Sarah Palin sent him e-mails on the subject, but Monegan declined to disclose them, saying he planned to give them to a legislative investigator looking into the matter.

Palin initially denied that she or anyone in her administration had ever pressured Monegan to fire the trooper, but this summer acknowledged more than a half a dozen contacts over the matter, including one phone call from a Palin administration official to a state police lieutenant. The call was recorded and was released by Palin's office this month. Todd Palin told a television reporter in Alaska that he did meet with Monegan, but said he was just "informing" Monegan about the issue, not exerting pressure.

"She never directly asked me to fire him," Monegan said.

that's one source.

here's another:

Lawmakers will hire someone within a week to investigate whether Governor Sarah Palin abused her power in firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. The legislative council approved 100,000 dollars for the investigation that will find out whether Palin was angry at Monegan for not firing an Alaska State Trooper who went through a messy divorce with Palin's sister. On Monday afternoon, the Joint Legislative Council, filled with Republicans and Democrats, voted 12 to 0 to formally call for an investigation against Governor Palin in a manner—that they are stressing—will be unbiased and done in a timely fashion.

Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. Monegan was fired two weeks ago without explanation and has said he was pressured by the governor and her staff to fire a trooper who was once married to Palin's sister. Accusations have risen that Monegan was fired for his refusal to fire trooper Michael Wooten. The council's intent is to investigate the circumstances and events surrounding the termination of Monegan and potential abuses of power and improper action by the Governor and her administration.
"It is the intent of the legislative council that the investigation be professional, unbiased, independent, objective, and conducted at arms length from the political process," said, Senator Kim Elton, a Democrat from Juneau.
The council's intent is to investigate the circumstances and events surrounding the termination of Monegan and potential abuses of power and improper action by the governor and her administration.
"I think what it really gets down to is after the comma, add potential abuses of power and improper actions is really what we are looking at or at least proposing to look at?" said Representative John Harris, a Republican from Valdez.

to go in a new direction. And although she doesn't think an investigation is needed, she welcomes the questions. The council went through a detailed meeting to make sure the process is done in a timely manner with accurate results.
"We will get from this is," said Senator Hollis French, a Democrat from Anchorage, "no evidence of wrong doing, some evidence of wrong doing, clear evidence of wrong doing, that will come back to us."
"At that point the body has to make the decision: 'Is this evidence strong enough to proceed on or not?'"
"I think it should be made very clear because there have been conversations about personnel matters that the issues really that we are dealing with here are not the termination of the public

safety commissioner," said Harris. Legislators hope that during this investigation that the politics are left out of the mix, which can be hard for government officials.
"What really remains is the most significant hurdle," said Representative Jay Ramras, a Republican from Fairbanks. "Are those professionals going to feel compelled to be subpoenaed before they will speak candidly about what they know?"
Senator French is the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman and is in charge of hiring the investigator. He says he has a short list of candidates and that the investigation should be finished within a few

now, if you choose to believe she had 15 lawsuits against her... well, no.

it was just one.

and it wasn't a lawsuit. it was an investigation dealing with an ethics complaint.

nothing major, she wanted to avoid embarrassment. and she didn't defeat a lawsuit. she resigned, and the investigation ceased.

Give me some names man, I feel like doing a little investigating. Name me off some people she removed from office for misconduct or abuse of power or whatever. Is this just something you heard somewhere and keep repeating or is it actually true?

Sarah Palin was a POLITICIAN. ALL OF THEM LIE TO US. It's in their BEST INTEREST to lie to us to get what they want because they have the power to do it than it is to secure any freedoms we might have or put the American peoples interest FIRST. This is as clear as day. I've given at least 3 different examples of the ineptness of Palin, her lies and her outright stupidity. What is it with you, do you just refuse to see it? She's definitely not someone who should be admired. I believe she is in a position right now to make as much money as she possibly can for herself, off of people like you who follow her because she believes in Jesus, seems like a regular ol girl from the heartland of America and is pretty hot for an older broad. She openly speaks hate about the president on a regular basis, and infers he's a Muslim, terrorist, native of Kenya, socialist, etc. Encourages people to "take action" against the government, then the farthest on the right wonder why they get labeled "right wing extremists" when they take her advice and start walking around at tea-bag meet ups with loaded fully automatic weapons...

You can tell the real politicians from the fake lying motherfuckers pretty damn easy. Go check what the majority of the elected public officials are talking about/supporting, and then the one or two who are opposed - yeah, those are usually they guys who are on our side. Ron Paul for instance - all that guy does is talk totally logical shit about Bernanke, Pulson, the Federal Reserve, the money system, how we actually got into this economic shit storm, stuff that threatens the way business as usual goes down here. Almost every single other politician is against the guy and none of them can respond to what he says with anything other than more lies and misinformation. Palin, Obama, Reid, Pelosi, all the other assholes at the top, RIGHT OR LEFT, are against us, you, me and everyone else whose a member of this site. You play right into their game by getting yourself occupied with pointless bullshit and misinformation and propaganda.

Sir, wake the fuck up.

why do you have to compare her? can't we just talk about her? as herself? she comes across as a dingy airhead. how can one not see that?

the only thing i seek out of all these arguments is HONESTY. i don't chose sides, i just look for the HONESTY. when palin speaks, her demeanor screams "airhead". maybe airheads act like her so it's not her fault at all. but you put the two side-by-side and it's a perfect match. can't we just be honest. it doesn't make her wrong, or less of a person; it simply makes her "look like an airhead".

and i have yet to see that "brilliant" speech of hers.

I'm just pointing out that without all the DEM attention...Palin should and would have faded. It's their fear of her which is keeping her alive. I'm surprised the media doesn't freeze her out of the story lines...but in the end, they are whores and grovel for viewers.

Usually loser VP's simply go away.... this one has even quit her job as Governor....and yet, she still garners attention from the left. they should have IGNORED her as soon as the election was over..... they did not. Not smart....

Dude, I think I give you too much credit sometimes...

The reason the "liberal media" puts so much effort into Palin is because you guys think she's some super woman whose gonna come save the day in 2012, whether it be another campaign or raising the conservative base.

Any regular person can see that much as clear as day man.

I think I disagree on the first point. The liberal media has had no role in Plain's popularity, positive or negative. She is in the public eye because she connects with a segment of the population. ANYTIME an individual connects with a significant segment in a political way politicians all around will sit up and take notice. Someone capable of moving a vote even one percent could be critical and cannot be ignored.

Clearly the left is attacking Palin because she, for now at least, has clout. They would be fools not to. But I don't think they are detracting from (or adding to) her influence within her segment. They have already shot at her so much she is now bullet-proof - as long as she doesn't run.
