Yes. Sometimes. Like in this thread. While what you say is true, your timing couldn't have been worse to say what you did.

"YES - SOMETIMES", I have repeatedly stated that I am a liberal. Now even "yes, sometimes" beats "no, never" and I dn't see the rightists here sidling up to liberals on any point, ever.

It's a gift from the government to the private health insurance industry.

If that sounds like a good thing to you, evaluate your priorities.

That still doesn't make it "government run". And no, it is not a good thing. I would sooner have a government run one. But the rght always insists on havnig it both ways. It is either a goverment takeover or a "gift to the insurnace companies". So which is it.

Making the claim it's not government run is either deceptive or naive.

When the federal government makes the rules for the doctors, insurance companies and the public, it's government run.
When the government gives discounts (subsidies) and offers free healthcare to some and not to others, all in the same government pool, it's run by the government.

When the government sets the prices for doctors and hospitals, it's government run.

How blind can some people be.

Really. Have you any first hand knowlege of the current health care situation - at all? If the government pays the insurance company and the insurance comapany pays the provider, where is the "government run" part"? There are thousands of regulations on oil companies - are they government run as well? hundreds more on car companies - INCLUDING foreign cars - are they government run?

Agreed, how blind some people can be.

This is why it's impossible to debate a thing with you canndo,, you won't except facts.
Prior to Obamacare, people were free to chose any insurance plan, from any insurance company they wanted. The consumer paid the insurance company and the insurance company then paid the provider, that is not the case now, there is no debate about this. Now the government steps in and changed it, where do the money for premiums go when you sign up on the exchange, how does the government pay providers for the subsidized?

Trying to convince me that all other industries are regulated, therefore Obamacare is just regulating insurance companies is another display of your naivety, the insurance industry has long been regulated by the government, can you remember the last time the government mandated what gas stations you could choose from, or better yet, forcing you to purchase gas or face a fine?

I also noticed you failed to address my other points, care to give them a shot?

First off, I didn't say it was government run. Secondly, I am not on the right. In another thread today you also mistook me for someone who neglects to criticize private power along with government because you think I am right wing.

Government exists to serve the ruling class and protect private property.

the "rules" are to insure we get proper coverage with 80% of our premiums going toward our health..that leaves 20% margin for profit for them and that is PLENTY..we VOTED on it.

tell me beenthere, did you have issues growing up when it came to following the "rules"?

subsidies are paid directly to the insurance company you choose on your behalf then the insurance company invoices any balance due which you can pay online to the insurance company or via snail mail and check.

pre-aca it has been proven the insurance companies take advantage of the insured..choosing healthcare is not the same as purchasing gas:wall:

Ah, now you're justifying the "rules" so that means you admit that government is running our healthcare insurance.
Sorry, I don't remember a vote taking place, please enlighten me.

Yes, sometimes you are way too partisan.

You keep on keeping on bro. Just try not to proclaim that only the right does something while the left is doing that very thing right in front of you.

I know you can be non partisan. That's why it's shocking to me to see such partisanship come from you SOMETIMES.

By the way. The whole purpose of Obamacare was to destroy the private insurance industry and have it taken over by the government.

Everyone says it is failing but it's true objective is being met.
