AG Garland appoints special counsel

I’d like to see that fucker arrested as much as I want to see trump arrested.
Gym's problem is Jack will be investigating him, a real investigation with the FBI and grand juries, and it is a crime to lie to either one. With the Kingpin gone early over the top-secret documents and obstruction, there won't be many deals offered to his cronies and minions for his ass. However, there are congress people like Gym to sell for a deal... If ya wanna deal from Jack, you confess and plead to all the crimes and you have to tell them of any other crimes you have knowledge of and we are talking about republicans here, the most corrupt ones too. Legal pundits are of the opinion that Jack won't stop with Trump, his mandate is J6 too, not just Trump, but all involved in the conspiracies.

FFS, some of these assholes will make shit up on Gym and others to cut a deal with Jack, they will be that desperate and they are rotten liars anyway!

Just what I'm seeing the experts discuss about the case, Gym and others in congress should be worried, for Garland to jerk Jack's leash, it would be public and ugly. Jack will go where the evidence leads and they will be squealing for deals with Donald already in prison. Who else is left to sell other than GOP senators and congress people? Jack's priority will be government people and politicians who were part of a conspiracy. That could even include Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley who was ready to take over from Pence, should he be hung on the lawn outside! His mandate is J6, not just about Trump, but his crony's, minions and allies in congress. The Mar A Largo documents fiasco left his ass exposed really good, gone for good and gone before everybody else involved with a shocking sentence for those crimes alone. The magats in congress will lose their backstop when Donald goes down too, and it will make it easier for the moderates to take control.

He looks like the bad guys from superman met the council from Bill and Ted.

I'm not getting my hopes up. They really need to come up with something though. It's been years of saying trump is committing terrible crimes but nothing happens. There aren't even failed attempts. He gets accused of something terrible, media runs with it and we get on board, then he just says "nah..." and they go away and then accuse him of something else.

It's becoming the equivalent of Hillary killing fiddy men or hunter bidens laptop. Prove your case or shut up.

I'm not sure if trump will ever get locked up or not...But you'd think jordan and the rest of the freedumb fucknuts would be able to figure out that this would be a good time to SHUT THE FUCK UP...But of course, they're mentally incapable of remaining silent, and will end up doing half of Smith's job for him, if not more...
trump is a washed up piece of shit with no backing....The republican house and senate members who enabled him are still in office. They have to fucking go.

i may have been hasty in my dismissal...i still think Merrick Garland is a fucking nutless wonder, but Smith is not...i think Smith would probably make a better AG than Garland, but since that isn't his job, cry havoc, and let slip that dog of war.
Jack looks like a pitbull with a taste for corrupt politicians and fascists, a warrior for liberal democracy seems to me, his wife's films and his career choices seem to echo this kind of character. He seems smart as the Devil and appears just as aggressive too, Donald now knows his nemesis and his name is plain old Jack, a mere commoner's name! Jack looks like a giant killer to me, and he won't be fooled by a hand full of beans. ;)

Since he's back on Twitter, maybe put the National Guard on stand by when the time comes.

He's participating.

I'm still in shock that they didn't fire on rioters literally breaking into the Capitol that day. If rioters broke into my own county's courthouse, they would be shot and the state police would be there in 5 minutes for support right before the SWAT vehicles showed up. At a county seat.

But at the nation's Capitol it's OK to bust through windows, invade secure areas, shit on the floors, steal secure papers, throw fire extinguishers at people, threaten to kill elected officials and attack the police causing inury and death.
I'll never totally get that.

They may yet have another J6 in DC, this time on the federal courthouse steps, with Donald demanding physical action from his allies in congress. I can see MTG, GYM and the rest of the magats leading the twitter inspired mob! It won't end well with ole Joe in the WH.

Fat chance. Fascism won't allow that.
He simply refers all such questions to the special counsel, and they won't show up while they are investigating J6, meaning them. Garland won't force them and if he has his teeth into someone, his job continues even if the democrats lose the presidency. If Jack gets a subpoena, he can ignore it, if Jack subpoena's Gym or MTG to a grand jury because some people ratted them out, they can't refuse. Donald might think it's optional, but I assure you it is not, if Garland didn't charge Meadows and others over not appearing before the J6 panel, he will do the same for Jack and even Hunter if there is no case and it's just a dog and pony show. He will testify before them and tell them they are full of shit, if there is no case to be made against Hunter. They are free to tell it to another judge in court when they present their evidence and testify under oath.

Jordan is heading the Justice Committee & has announced that bias in the FBI is a primary focus. I admit I didn't originally like the thought of a special counsel but now I'm in favor of following the book. Garland could do everything that a special counsel can do.

This could be my ignorance showing, but if Garland (who is on record as being a defender of the rule of law) wanted to score high on the Richter scale, he might have nominated more special prosecutors.

1) Jack Smith on the document theft and insurrection
2) someone tasked with co-conspirators in the legislature
3) associated crimes at the departmental level, notably Postal Service (remember the wrecked mail counters?) and Secret Service (erasure of communications on the 5th and 6th), maybe DOD with the sabotage of national guard response …
4) dismemberment of CDC and firing of various inspectors-general
5) Supreme Court justices lying at their confirmation hearings
