Special Counsel Jack Smith/DOJ seek interview with Mike Pence about Trump's insurrection crimes

186,464 views Nov 23, 2022
Just five days after being appointed special counsel, it looks like Jack Smith has hit the ground running. Days ago, Mike Pence displayed a staggering lack of patriotism, not to mention a health dose of cowardice, by saying he was "closing the door" on testifying to the January 6 House select committee. Pence apparently is unwilling to tell the committee what he know about the crimes of Donald Trump, and is unwilling to help Congress repair and rebuild our democracy.

Mike Pence might try to "close the door" on testifying about the insurrection, but it looks like Jack Smith is preparing to kick the door wide open by first requesting a voluntary interview of Pence and them, should Pence again refuse, it is almost certain that Pence will then find himself on the receiving end of a federal grand jury subpoena.

Jack is gonna squash him like a cockroach really fast and not even blink, they knew what they were getting into, and the DOJ is watching. As soon as he is indicted, this will make being released until his trial difficult and he will be muzzled by the judge at a minimum, this will be brought up when Donald is trying to get bail or house arrest. Depending on the judge he draws, this shit could see Donald in a DC jail cell with the judge not settling for house arrest, his SS detail can be assigned an unlocked cell next door.

Two weeks until the Georgia runoff and figure just after that Jack will indict Donald over the docs. Would he do it on Dec7th, the day of infamy! Or wait until the Dec 8th when America responded to infamy?

Will he continue the threaten Jack and his family? Putting all the focus on him, removes it from his staff, those who will actually be prosecuting Trump. If he continues to make threats, how will that work out for his plea hearing when trying to get released on bail until his trial date? Most people indicted for this kind of crime are held in custody without bail until trial, so jailing him over this would be normal operating procedure anyway. He will go from being guarded by the SS to being in their custody and if he doesn't do what they say, they will now make him, or even put him in cuffs. They could even change it out from secret service to US marshals. Unless Donald behaves himself after indictment, he could end up in a DC jail with his SS detail in the next cell with an unlocked door, some of these federal DC judges are not to be fucked with.

I wonder what crowd sizes Donald will get on the federal courthouse steps in DC, will it be huge, or just a few mental patients with signs screaming at passersby. His TV trial in Georgia should do much better and have bigger crowds on the courthouse steps as America watches the action inside the courtroom on national TV. The only question will be if Donald will be in federal custody by then, he could show up for his indictment or perhaps his trial in orange, and that would sure break the magic spell, wouldn't it? ;) The Teflon would be long gone from Don then.

Elon resurrected not just Donald his zombies are crawling out of their graves too. On the plus side, if he uses Twitter to destroy the GOP on his way down, that would be a good thing. If he uses it to threaten Jack or any of his people, he might end up in jail until trial.

why is he waiting on the Georgia run off? how could it effect that? people in Georgia aren't going to go "oh fuck, they indicted trump, i'm going to switch my support to walker at this late date".....there is NO POINT in waiting any longer...there really has been no valid point in waiting one fucking day. the fucking criminal piece of shit and his whole family should have been indicted within 6 months of 1/6th...and it's a fucking damning indictment of the shitty system that he's run free this long.

I don’t buy that either Garland or Smith are timing their work for political effect. The reasons will likely be about legal/judicial procedure. The post-Watergate indictments took two years iirc.

it will take as long as it will take, and i'll bitch up until the day they indict trump and at least the ones who asked for pardons...i think even the magats want to know what those pardons were for.
in a perfect world, about 1/3 of the republican party would be facing some kind of consequences for their participation in trump's incompetent, failed coup attempt, and the other 2/3s would be so deeply shamed that at least a few of them would leave politics...fat motherfucking chance of that though.

A censure at least for each one who voted or argued against certifying the vote.

The courts are now the target of Donald's wrath now, because they will be his next enemy. Courts deal in law, facts and accountability, and we know how much Donald loves those. He is a creature of habit, with a limited repertoire of responses and his response to all enemy's is to attack, using the same methods he always did. Attacking judges who will decide his fate is not the same as attacking republican politicans who stray from his control or speak the truth. Every attack and threat the dumb cunt makes, decreases his odds of him being released after indictment and he could find himself in jail until trial and the SS will have to make the best arrangements with the judge they can, so don't piss off the judge.

Dunno what is in Trump's taxes, but it must be interesting, congress can make them public and probably will since they won't have time to go through them. Besides Jack will get a copy too and he might be interested or probably pass any crimes they find off to the DOJ or IRS, along with some questions.

while i expect that this is just what it seems, trump having an existential melt down, i wouldn't rule it an impossibility that this is theater designed to take some heat off of the scotus...."well, they aren't just blindly supporting trump, maybe they aren't so bad.".....yes, yes they are so bad...and at least three of them have to go, and uncle thomas can take his fucking psycho wife with him

Mitch wants him gone too and so do all the establishment republicans, it is cut and dried and if the conservatives on the court did otherwise it would be the end of them when the democrats regain power and pack the place. This isn't a social issue but one of criminal law and the tax case is the least of Donald's worries or should be. He has a fucking freight train heading for him driven by Jack and Donald is chained to the tracks. I think in a couple of weeks reality and an indictment will come crashing in, it will be a shock to Donald when a federal judge owns his ass from the moment he pleads. Then his usual tactics of attacking prosecutors and judges will backfire on him. We will see how long his trial takes and how many delays there are, if he's sitting in a DC jail cell killing cockroaches with his SS using the unlocked cell next door.

Jack is working through the holidays, that is a very bad for Donald, it should tell him Jack is not fucking around, the time has come to face the music for the secret documents. The fruit is hanging so low it's rotting on the ground and Jack is scooping it up and will shove it down Donald's throat. He might even to be able to "play" Donald like a fish and provoke him to putting himself in jail after he is indicted and keep him there until his trial.
