We need to be working and if being tracked is what it takes to get the economy rolling again, that's fine with me

I don't know about anyone else, but I have bills to pay, they aren't going to pay themselves. I need to work. Plus I'm just a workaholic, I can't stand sitting around with nothing to do

I'll take my chances being out in public, I wear mask and gloves and wash my hands every chance I get back so hopefully my chance of getting that virus is greatly reduced.

Like you @abandon conflict, if I'm going to catch that virus, let's do this now, get it done and over with instead of dragging things out and get on with life
I understand that I am unpopular right now for being willing to say shit that people don't want to hear.

I don't give a fuck, but you're alright.

So what could/should stores be doing different now? It seems that the demand for what grocery stores have is still in demand, we just need to figure out a new way to disperse it. It needs to be cleaner and have less hands moving shit all over the place maximizing exposure to each others germs (doubt that is scientific, but I think it makes sense).

Im thinking a store that the trucks drive right through bay doors into the store, park inside the store while workers unload truck, truck drives out. Like a tube from a alien movie. And have all the shopping in the outer part of the store like a drive through. That way inside the store is the workers in a clean environment.

Might be able to cut down on a lot of plastic that way too.

Well, the load I got yesterday after I left the truck stop in Illinois was for Pepsi (truckload of pallets of 20oz bottles of Aquafina). I loaded at a Pepsi plant in Indiana and I delivered it this morning to a Pepsi plant in Lansing, Michigan.
I am still sitting here waiting for my next mission

Anyways though, for safety for the truckers, Pepsi has a really good system down. I did not have to get out of my truck except to open and shut my trailer doors. Someone came up to my truck as soon as I pulled on the property at both places, took my paperwork and assigned me a dock immediately. I did not have to go inside of any office to check in or touch any door handles. When I was finished loading/unloading, they put the signed paperwork in the tail of my trailer and I pull off the dock, get my paperwork when I shut the doors. Pretty much zero contact with the workers.

That's what I feel like is pretty damn safe, I'm happy with how this run went. All places should be doing this to protect the truck drivers and their workers. Also at both Pepsi plants there is a clean Porta John for the truckers

Thanks for sharing that inspiring teamwork story Bluebird!
I had an inspiring phone conversation with the wife of a cancer patient this morning . He is on my schedule tomorrow. She was a smart one. She initiated the protocol she wants to follow to protect her husbands health and i was right onboard and felt hopeful for humanity for a second. She told me she will come in and check him in while he waits in their car and when I am ready for him I will text her while they wait in her car and not in our waiting room avoiding some uncomplying patients not wearing masks. I reassured her that I have my department completely disinfected and he would be completely safe with me and she was so grateful.

Play this out several steps forward. We're either going there or we're not. A vaccine isn't coming fast enough.

You are already being spied upon. What you say vocally within range of your phone while your facebook app is open can determine which ads you will see. Many other similar things have been going on for years. You have probably consented to it dozens of times in the small print of those annoying ass agreements to use apps.
Nope.

I understand where you are coming from but suggest we read the fine print before signing the contract.

I only carry a burner phone....in somebody elses name....... ;-)
Dude, we've all seen photos of you and your ID cards and you have nothing to be afraid of. We admire the fuck out of your garden. For all my rough talk, I got nothing but love and respect for you. I have shared my DD214 with a bunch of people on the site to prove I'm a combat vet and several also have added me to friends on facebook.

The government has known for decades all they want to know about all of us. They should use that to know who has the covaids.
