All The Ways To Germinate Your Seeds

Hey peeps, I don't know if i got a bunk set of seeds or what. But I got 1 out of 10 seeds to pop using the papertowel method. Am i missing something. I've read about dropping seeds into a cup of water and letting them germinate. Heard it takes 24-72 hours for a seed to pop that way. I know there are tons of ways to get clones to root. But can you share you experiences trying to pop seeds? Need some help here, don't want to lose more money trying to learn on my seeds. Thanks.

PS. I'm using a cotton cloth, not a papertowl. And instead of putting it in a a zip lock i'm using a tupperware container. I make the towel pretty wet, fold it over the seeds and put it in a warm dark place. Sound right?

Skunk, i got them from Ceres Seeds. I have five left that i dropped into a cup of RO water last night. But i just got in some "power skunk" from G13 labs and i also have 5 seeds of Power Plant from dutch passion. Once i figure this out i'm gonna give it a shot on these.

I'll drop the seeds in a cup of water for like 12-24 hours untill they sink, then I put the seeds on a moist paper towel in between two plates. When thats done, I set it on my cable box for like 2 days then check em. If they havent poped yet, no sweat, just wait 2 more days and you should have little white taproots chillin. I've heard using other things instead of cable boxes, like computer towers, a fridge, or a stereo. Anything that emits a low heat.

How long did you leave them?...didnt throw them out did ya?....24-72 is a conservative timeframe....could take a week or more.

scrape the sides of the seeds a little, use a knife or sand paper. Then put into new towell thats moist not WET. Them put into plastic bag (not sealed) and out in dark place. Check every 12 hours they should sprout

I dampen a paper towl, set it on a plate and place the seeds on top. fold over the paper towel once or twice. put plate in cupboard. check once in a while to re-moisten towel and removed cracked seeds. btw, i just use tap water.

as soon as seeds crack (hopefully before much root shows) they go in starter plugs about a half centimetre deep then gently buried.

i did exactly this on moday at 7 pm. less than eleven hours later one seed had cracked. the rest eventually started going between the 24-72 mark with the last three taking just under 84 hours to crack. I'm just wating on two or three more to break soil, the rest are under a light already, have been for almost a day.
